i love lisa's voice but would prefer gimme shelter (and think most of the audience would agree).

If the Stones really want to cover an old soul song, then let the new version sound like a Stones Version, like Just My Imagination did. Add something to the song.

Nowadays it's just Jagger's voice that makes it Stones related. No guitars and way too much Lisa.

BTW: untill I'll Go Crazy I thought Night Time was their worst cover ever...

If it wasn't written by someone named Berry they should not cover it. PERIOD!

I noticed that the stones no longer play chuck berry live since 1988, i could be corrected. perhaps after all that keith went through with chuck in "hail hail rockand roll"......

The Stones have the right to play any song they choose...when they choose.
They're not puppets or dolls, and we don't own them.

If you don't like their choices as of this date, don't buy tickets for the next gigs.

They don't play a number of songs I'd love to hear again...but I ain't crying in my beer.

You know, this is true. But they could also be one of the worst cover bands. Matter of opinions and expectations. Personally I loved "Love Train" on the Flicks dvd. But then I've always liked that number. And I know most LT comments are negative here. The covers I love were very early. After ATPTBeg, I can't get past LT. Cheers! 5

"Love Train" is a great song! And I'm sure they enjoy playing it even if the original is hard to beat. Please allow the band a little musical pleasure.

I don't care what you all say, I enjoyed this number at every show. Refreshing.

Î don't think I'll Go Crazy is the worst cover they've did, but I find it out of context with the setlist.
it's either Midnight Rambler or Can't you Hear Me Knocking before - and always Tumbling Dice after that song - and it just doesn't flow, IMO.

If they actually did a whole cover band night, that song would really stick out.
I'd love 'em to do just that - only covers they've allready done before...and they did so many.
I bet you could make a cool setlist out of them.

I've been Loving You, too long
Ain't too Proud To Beg
Love Train
Love in Vain

...you name 'em, go ahead, pick it up and continue...

I don't understand why they play covers period. As many great songs as they have, playing a cover version just means one less Stones song they play. Consdering how the the setlist keeps shrinking these days, that's not a good thing.
