About $800 for tickets for four people, two shows. Maybe $20 for gas. = $820. Of course the eating and drinking but I won't put that on the Stones' tab.
********************************* And the queen is bravely shouting, "What the hell is going on?"
8 shows in the US + 1 in London, times 2 tix/per show.....R/T airfare for 2 to London and accomodations/food/attractions for 8 days in London & Paris, R/T airfare for 1 to Churchill Downs, rental car, gas, parking, meals, beer, 8 shirts, 2 copies of the cd (regular & special ed), all the cd singles, the biggest bang dvd...it all added up to about $14,000, almost my marriage, and I lost my parents as babysitters for any future stones shows.....they just don't get my obsession!!
It was the trip across the pond that really broke the bank!! LOL Worth every damn cent & I've been wishing to be back in London ever since - best time and place I've ever had/been!!!
You know the thing that I find most sick - and most of you seem to go back much further than me in terms of seeing them live - is that when I first saw them in 97 it cost 75 bucks I think a ticket. At the time that was the most expensive concert ticket I'd ever bought. Now 250/300 is the norm for them. In just 10 years that is insane.
5 shows. The total damage would be like 1000+ Euros. I got really fed up with all the bus transportation from middle of nowhere into major cities. That's the drawback of using those cheap airlines, e.g Ryanair. I was supposed to go to London as well, but I refused to purchase tickets for 150 quid a piece excluding service charges.
It is too early to tell - but then I´m not too sure I want to know exactly This year: Rome, Belgrade, Budapest, Brno, Goteburg, Kopenhagen, Lausanne, Dusseldorf, Hamburg, London I and II - must have been close to 2.500 to 3.000 €(or even more)
