why get mad at Justin Timberlake?
It was Micks doing. He is the one who wanted to do it.
I say good for JT, i will never be onstage with The Stones.(and i can do a pretty mean moonwalk)
That kid got up there in front of 400,000 people knowing he was the odd guy out, and did ok.

JT is a great talent. And he's very creative, maybe that upset Keith.

Silly people were throwing objects on stage. Of course Keith gets pissed, although that doesn't mean he thinks Justin is talented or even creative.
Obviously it was a bad choice by Mick to have Justin on stage. It's utterly painful to watch that sequence and quite easy to grasp the fact that Timberlake doesn't fit to be on stage with the best rockers ever.
When I see this clip I realize, although it's hard too admit, that Dave Matthews did a fine job with Wild Horses on Bridges To Babylon in comparison to this dreadful performance by Justin.

No one deserves this. I'm sure when you have an off day your boss throws bottles at you. It comments like these that makes me wonder of how much brians people have.

I think one of Mick's daughters are NSYNC and/or Justin Timberlake fans. They met him bacstage. Mick does always want to bridge the Stones into new fans and others performers. I guess this was one of the least popular tries.

I think Keith has actually said in an interview (maybe half jokingly) that his main concern was that some of the missiles might hit Mick!

i was at the SARS show i thought it was well done.....i wished the stones would have played longer of course (it was hot ).......also the ac/dc duet was very cool as well

I could barely watch the full clip - it does make you cringe a bit...
maybe the choice of song was poor for JT to be dueting...
continental drift (steel wheels live version) or maybe (the popcorn) would ave been better - at least for his voice...

makes me look back at this years IOW and realise that Amy Winehouse wasnt that bad and Paolo was shit hot!!

I am not a fan but I would take a Justin Timberlake duet over Dave Matthews or Sheryl Crow any day. And it's not like he was up there for JJF but "Miss You" for Keith's sake. @#$%& "Miss You" if that helps put things in perspective.

Out of the pro shot boots I have seen from that gig I would rank the Stones third unfortunately - and I've only seen 3 bands.

I’ve heard that too, bv. I read somewhere that Timberlake was in Toronto doing his own gig at the time but had a free night the night of the SARS concert, and that one of Jagger’s daughters asked if he could play at the concert. (Of course, like a lot of things we read, that’s probably not factual.)
