I have a feeling of a new tour
Posted by: monkeyman07 ()

Hi , i have a really good feeling , despite keith's errors on some songs , or whatever , he is keith , and he's a fag as he always is , let it be!
The stones have their normal shape , they can do concerts , lets say , who the heck has an awesome stage like this , theyre not dead now , theyre rocknrollers , the music is in their blood , they wont stop till one dies , nothing's lost , cmon , lets be as normal as the stones community has been forever ! , not bashing keith or saying mick's vocals are bad , just let there be rock!!

pardon me sir, but this sounds a bit like lonesome whistler in deep dark wood to me if you know what I mean!!! in thirty years as Stones fan, I was always optimistic about their future, but right now I am not quite.

I can see them do another tour...if they survive the R&R live.
in 2009 with a new number one and cheaper tickets and back to the roots!

They will tour and make new records till they drop! What else can they do? Retire? I don't think so...

yes, thats true. It would be an improvement.

I think it would be cool if they did a stripped down show, just play arenas theatres, smaller venues. and get back to the roots, like rooster said, and then maybe close the show with JJF. Just have maybe two warhorses and then a lot of their old stuff and blues covers.

The Stones really got something...i know lots of young guns who love them but thought the ticket was to expensive...thats a shame i think....but not forever..its a new day!

For foks sake! It has been stated over & over.
Even Bjornulf says it. This is the last tour of this kind.
That's what they say. Still Jagger's greed for $ could always crack things up.

I'd like to ad what retired_dog said on this matter, which I completely agree with. If they wanna do another tour of this size, they gotta stay of the road for quite some time to build up a hunger for them. In this connection time is not really on their side.

Keith's not a real , real fag , i mean , when you see him through all his life , you like all of him , he has a kind of charisma , and he does fag's things sometimes , like the sessions with chuck berry on 1985 or failing in the concert , he has a fag look , but in fact hes not a 100% fag , its hard to explain

If you all remember the cryptic things band members say, the direct things they say and what others like Leavell say, this is indeed the last tour of its kind. The only reason they're on tour at this very moment is that they missed so many European dates last year. Rather than just make up the lost dates, it made more sense to do one more regular tour.

And let's face it, this tour started out two years ago as the Bigger Bang tour. That album has been on the shelves and in the bins for a while now. The pretext of touring to promote ABB has long since passed. Moreover, songs on the album get negligble attention anyway.

I'm giving some long and hard thought to whether or not I want to shell out $200, 300 or 400 a person to see the Stones again, should they tour anew. Overall, their touring show, meaning the songs played, are essentially the same as they were in 1989, 1994, 1997, 1998, etc. We get all excited when they play a rare OLD song as opposed to a new one, and that's more the definition of a nostalgia act than a still evolving band. Hell, if any of you pay attention to Brian Wilson, even he's still open to trying new and ambitious things at age 65 and in his fragile mental condition. He's sold out a hall in London for a week this September to play an entirely new work. Can you imagine the Stones playing an entire show of new songs even once??

What I guess I'm saying is that if another U.S. tour is just going to be more of the same, i.e. exhorbitant prices for Songs You've Heard Before, then put a fork in me, I'm done. They say the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over expecting different results. I'd rather go KNOWING it's going to be different, as opposed to hoping. If I get the urge to see a live Stones show, I'll break out one of the many DVDs, pop it in my home theater system with the gigantic plasma screen, and see the same show I would have anyway, but this time for free.

Well , to make a good tour , i made a good setlist , not using so much songs , using new ones and rarely played ones.

- You Got Mer Rocking
- where the boys all go
- flip the switch
- rocks off
- rock and a hard place
- memory motel
- midnight rambler
- sweet home chicago
- mixed emotions
- tumbling dice
- happy
- can't be seen
- hang fire
- neighbours
- rough justice
- honky tonk women
- dont stop
- saint of me
- satisfaction
- jumping jack flash

those are 20 , no b stage

would this make people happy?
also , with a tickets price around 150 usd?

Well, this is always very subjective, but I would think after three numbers that are those guys really joking, playing their most boring númbers ever...
