I used to live here some years ago. Went back to UK. Then back here last year. I love the music scene here and the many decent vinyl shops. See you at Parken and O2.

I agree. No one should be embarrassed or uneasy about their lack of fluency in another language (and actually, Nelson, your English is fine..)

Nelson, you shouldn't leave - that's silly. Your English will definitely improve if you stay. Rooster's English is 100% better now than when he first started posting (I say that with full admiration for him; languages are not my forte)
Stay and practice. I don't know who has given you crap, but if it's only because of your poor English - then screw them, this is a free board - thanks to BV.
Cindy is so right....my broken english is still bad...I know a lot of words but i am afraid to write them on the wall!!You just stay and have a good time....its to nice talking to people R&R Stones people from all over the world..it still amazes me....have another drink...and stay!
If you want to end up doing something well, you have to start out by doing it badly!
One of the best pieces of advice I was ever given. Don't leave, Nelson. Your English is already pretty good and getting better all the time. Us English-speakers don't know how lucky we are, and we have no right at all to criticise.
Good advice Green Lady, I'm going to steal that one and use it for my son, he gets so upset if he can't do something right the first time he tries it (like riding a bike), and he just gives up.
Besides Nelson, you are bound to pick up some naughty expressions that you wouldn't learn in any class.
all i know is english. or whatever the american version of that might be... I don't know one word of Swedish. and i read you very easily Nelson. You are clear. It would be sad to lose a great rockin' Scandinavian fan over NO BIG DEAL...in a fan forum originating from Scandinavia too!! Aw, stick around. Sometime if you feel like saying something, just sign in and say it! thanks.
I agree with the others Nelson - you should stay around. The more viewpoints the better. I have great admiration for anyone who can speak, much less write, in a language other than their own.

It must get hard to read these posts at times, for those who speak English as their 2nd language. Along with so much wisdom and information, so many of the posts are often laden with puns, double entendres, euphamisms, good and bad jokes, not to mention typos and spelling mistakes. If I were trying to follow along in a Spanish forum, ie, I be even more clueless than I already appear.
Here's a joke:
Q: What do you call a person who speaks many languages? A: Multilingual.
Q: What do you call a person who speaks two languages? A: Bilingual.
Q: What do you call someone who speaks one language? A: American.
