Which reggae artists does keith like the best?
As far as I know (some because of colaborations) Toots, Max Romeo, Sly&Robbie, Marley, Peter Tosh...But in a old Spanish rock magazine I read that in 1982 he was deeply interested in Third Wolrd, Black Uhuru.

Right now, do you know if is he interested in current reggae (more related with dance-hall like Sizzla, Luciano, Capleton...)?

Thanks in advance
José M.

Keith's got great knowledge of reggae, in the past he had people from Jamica mail him records. Not sure of current reggae acts he listens to but have heard him say that Jimmy Cliff's Harder they Come is one of his favorites. Love to hear some quotes of Keith mentioning reggae artists he likes if anyone has them..

Thought I remember him mentioning Burning Spear in one interview.

Huge Itals fan as well as Big Youth. Itals are f'n amazing. The disc's are hard to find, but well worth the trouble. Keith Porter's solo stuff is very good too.

yeah, the soundtrack of the movie "The Harder They come" was sure one of his favorites. I read once Ronnie speaking of a tour, the 75 TOTA I think, when Keith used to carry with him that LP all the time. He used to play it during his parties in hotel-rooms, and they used to reherse the title track with Keith singing. Again as Ronnie said, that tour became "the harder they come" tour and Keith "Jah Keith".

So I bought the album, and it's really fantastic, there are such raggae hits and hidden gems on it.

Black Uhuru's Shine Eye Gal features Keith on guitar.
He isn't mentioned in the liner notes of the original
LP but I have seen an official 12" single from the
early eighties with his name on it. Great track BTW.
You can easily identify Keith's playing.
