Hi! A few months ago I was starting an Compilation idea of Keef Vocals on Stones Tracks. Now I´ve finished chapter One (The released Studio Vocals) and chapter two (The live Stones Vocals). Now I´m going to start chapter three wich is a lwttle more difficult than the firt two. Now it´s all about unreleased Keith Stones Studio Vocals. What are you thinink, wich songs HAVE to be on this part of my project. It´s all about finished songs, demos are also ok if they are not only snippets of songs. Please help me a little bit and ad your opinions, I want to start a fruitful discussion.
all the above ... do you mean only KR originals or also covers? on his own (eg the Honeymoon Tapes) or with the Stones? do you insist on full/finished lyrics or are musically full-fledged numbers with rough-draft lyrics included too? Sometimes Happy Sometimes Blue, I Got a Letter, the early take of Before They Make Me Run, Key to the Highway, Deep Love, Crushed Pearl, Why Do You Treat Me Like a Fool, Love Is Strong, Moon Is Up, Sparks Will Fly, miles and miles of beautiful stuff - the man's been pouring it out for us, making his life a blessing
Well, as I said. Stonesnumbers, no solo work, it doesn´t matter if the lyrics are finished but it shouldn´t be only a snippet of a song. A lot of material indeed but I´m interested in your opinions wich songs have to be on this compilation
Hi! Back again, now I have a list of a few must haves and a few of wich I´m not really sure. Sometimes happy sometimes blue, Gimme shelter, I got a letter, Let´s go steady, We had it all, I need you, Crazy Arms, Amost hear you sigh, Got away with murder, It´s funny, You got it made, Baby make it now, Deep love, Breakin´, Treat me like a fool, Crushed pearl, You´re too much,My first ple, Your angel steps out..., Serious love, Where the boys all go. I know that there are a lot of outtakes from the Dirty Work and the Voodoo Lounge Sessions but in case of Dirty Work they have mostly poor quality so I only want to take "essential" (in my opinion) tracks. Also in case of VL although the quality of these songs is very good. If I left something out you think should be in the compilation please tell me, if something should not go on also. Thanks in advance
in my opinion it's the Barbarian Let's Go Steadys that are truly great - the Stones' renditions with that chick on 'em (Chrissie Kimsey i believe) are ... well ...
>> My first ple <<
My Last Plea. recorded in 78.
>> Serious love, Where the boys all go <<
... huh?

You´re right! The plea thing was a mistake by hitting the wrong keys, but the other two, I´ve just listened to them, my fault, they won´t fit. The Stones´ Lets go steady is necessary because it´s the stones doing this. On another collection I´m planning, I will put on Keith Solo Stuff but in this case here, it´s all about the Stones. Thanks for your involvement

i understand that this is a Stones-only disk - but you indicated that you were asking what's not maybe vital to include, and that would be one, in my opinion
... what are you asking about now - Barbarian Let's Go Steadys? i've got about a dozen unreleased versions and rehearsals, as well as the official one from Largo. i'd have to study a while to decide which one grooves me the most ... but since it's your disk i reckon your opinion is what counts.

That's a fake track. It's just the Jagger version speeded up
