I think Keith added a whole new guitar track in studio

Or is it Blondie?

When considering the fact that they did overdubs on their masterpiece Get Yer Ya Ya's Out
already in the late 60's when their playing abilities were stellar,
I'd say it's quite obvious and consistent that they need loads of overdubs and side musicians in 2007.

Yep, sounds like that.

From that same show, the singing by Mick on Get Off Of My Cloud is clearly (at least partly) overdubbed too.

The riff was played by Chuck.

Simple. Watch it and listen to it at the same time.

I'm not sure that too many actual overdubs are done these days...but there's certainly a lot of correction done in the digital domain.
The technology available today is awesome !
I don't have a problem with it. The recorded product is subject to different criteria than the live experience in my opinion. What is the point of having a live album or video record with audible imperfections which will annoy more with every repeated listening ?

What do you think Blondie is doing in the Background? He is a master musician. When you hear guitars that are obviously not Ronnie or Keith, its Blondie.

I`m sorry, but that`s crap, don`t be so snobistic, they`re overdubs, that`s all.

Keith is not capable of adding a guitat track of an existing live piece.

If it tastes good, eat it.

Well that`s what he did obviously.

I don't see anything obvious about it. I have taken recordings of my bands live music and other musicians have asked me where the overdubs came from, there wasn't any, it was just a good mix.

what makes you say that? he's done it on plenty of live albums in the past.

he spent about 4 days in a Paris studio prior to the 1998 Stade de France show doing EXACTLY that, for example...

Well that's the whole point! One shouldn't assume anything they are not totally sure about. If he wasn't capable of adding a guitar track, he could't do what he's doing, on the other hand, other posts here are by individuals who claim they no things they realy know very little about. And if I sound like I do not know what I'm talking about, it's only because I haven't...let's say... drank any mind alternating substance yet today.

I thought ronnie was excellent on sway from the austin show, very fine playing imho

Watch it melillo, somebody just might come along and insist that ronnie had to go back in the studio and spend 3 days to do an overdub to get that sound so perfect.

If you watch closely you can see that Blondie is doing the solo and Ronnie is just acting as if he was playing. That way they don't have to do overdubs later on.

Lorenz. That's my point, and although I haven't noticed what you said, Blondie is a great musician and a lot of folks here don't want to believe the contribution he gives to the band. But Don't get me wrong, I am not saying there are no overdubs, I'm just saying Blondie has more of a presence than people realize.

It was a great show live, and I remember thinking Under My Thumb was very spirited and well-performed.

However, while I do not agree that there are "loads of overdubs," starting somewhere in the middle of the song, I think I hear a guitar playing the main riff of the song, and neither Keith nor Ronnie is playing it. I remember clearly Ronnie playing the main riff at the first of the song, but I do not believe he plays it consistently all the way through. Is it Blondie? Is it a Keith overdub? Did they cut and paste Ronnie's riff? Who knows? Am I imagining it? Maybe
