for the this tour!

Just finished watching the Biggest Bang dvd and must say that
they deserve all respect they can get for the effort they
have put in to this tour. At their age and all the years
they've been doing this, it's great to see the smiles on
their faces during (specially Keith).

They still break new grounds and it's still a big party I
think. There's a lot more to say but I'm really to emotional
right now,
So let us all give them all the respect for their effort.

Gothenburg is just a week away! Can't wait!

I agree, I think they deserve respect ... period. I think we should continuously marvel at the fact that they're STILL out there 45 years down the road, STILL putting on a pro show and STILL caring. Every time I see them nowadays I consider it a privilege and I absolutely revel in it, so in that respect ... no moans and groans about setlists and so on from me. I'll gladly take whatever they give, they're an amazing bunch of guys.

They deserve it, of course. The Stones are still the best and they prove it clearly...

Some hours later I still am emotional by the fact that this little band
still deliver and also the fact that we're heading for a closure any decade
now. (just joking)

sooner or later we have seen tha last show with them and it tears my heart
and soul apart.

Finally........You are doggone right that they deserve respect. I have been fortunate enough to see the Stones do a bunch real goos shows and few really great ones over the years. Sure the setlist is sometimes stale but for a lot fans it is once in lifetime thing, seeing the Stones so they have to do the warhorses. But what warhorses they are. Gonna miss 'em when they stop. Once this circus packs up it's tent, there will be another one. Been Stoned since '64, goona keep on being Stoned too. Never thought it would last this long.

I just came off the phone with a friend who thought DVD 4 was nice and the rest more or less su*ked

yes, i agree absolutely
that`s what i want to reach, when i sometimes try to explain the stones to younger people, which often disparagingly speak about them.
Like this: too old, need money, look like grandfathers....

I think one day they will get the respect they truly deserve.

Sometimes, however, I feel that it takes a tragic incident such as a plane crash, a death or a murder for a institution such as the Stones to be fully appreciated for what their magnificent contribution.

Let's just hope and pray that nothing like this happens and they continue to perform whether it be in a stadium, arena, theatre or downtown bar anywhwere on this planet.

When I watched the Bonus track on DVD #1 of them doing "Just Can't Be Satisfied" I realized they are the real thing, still after all those years.

The Rolling Stones are the greatest Rock and Roll Band in the world.

Mick, Keith, Charlie & Ronnie range from good, to very good to excellent as far as musicianship goes. (To me Charlie and Ronnie are the most consistant Stones.) They have more soul than any rockers out there. It's somewhat like a basketball team, in that it's not the team with the best players that usually win, but the Team that plays together better than any other team wins. In this regard, the Stones are the World Champions.

They sure can continue doing albums för many more years.
Tours are more questionable though.
