Well, since Gazza has convinced me that London is it, done, over, fini, etc., I thought I might just end it all in London without even coming home.

That way there is no more depression and I can finally get the rest I so richly deserve.

Sorry...you're absolutely right. My comment was more a kind of worrying for people who makes the Stones their intire life. It's just a rock'n'roll band, you know...the greatest...but I personally wouldn't spend so much time on this. I'm sure you've got a great life with or without the Stones :-)

You could talk about Keith's hang nail,the flea bite on his chest,the time he tripped over a tree root, his possible future use of the open-H four string tuning,the time his hair was messed up, the time his hair was combed, the time he shot up HP sauce,which shoe he ties first.

This all make a difference. These are the deciding factors as to a future Rolling Stones tour.

Of course that's it! Funnily enough the Spice Girls concert was the first concert I ever took my daughter to, when she was 9! Needless to say she is now 17 and the last concert I took her to was when I won her on stage box tickets for the Stones show at Pac Bell park!

But now we can bond and go to the Spice Girls reunion together!!!!!

usually I would attend 4 or 5 shows during a tour but this year I saw just 2
and last year 2...

I try to read IORR, listen to a lot of records just like yesterday. I rediscovered the VGP dirty workout; A MUST (especially the harlem shuffle duet with Bobby W).

It is less difficult to stand the ending tour thanks to internet.

12 years ago it was the desert after a show, no news, no photos, no reports. Or you had to wait for weeks... and read IORR printed version.

It is easier today.

lol....the noive....i'm the total keef-lover but i kin take a good joke by gawd....haaaaa, too much...love it.

I had some fun this tour but didn't really feel anything. When the US Licks Tour ended they were still somewhat exciting but I just kept going to all kinds of gigs immedietly after, went to like 60 total that year. If you live in a major city there is always great entertainment to be had. If you are the type who only listen to one band, then you are probably more into image then music so in that case I would recommend getting obsessed with a movie star or sports or something.

I disagree on that.
I was talking to a friend the other day, the Stones this and that and the he says:

you're so lucky, you know.
you've been following the Stones for what? 40 years?...and they're still kicking serious ass today.

Then he tells me what bands he's been into thru' the years - and out, because they either don't exist anymore or their music is totally outdated.

so, in the end I did feel lucky - hadn't looked at it that way.

Agree, Harm. Initially it will be with a heavy heart, but it´s probably been coming a long time, so i´m prepared. I will go about my life as before, running the Stonesvikings, collecting, and enjoying the Stones as much as before.

What a great response! Love it!

In my case, I am lucky enough that my wife likes it almost as much as I do, and so do both daughters. Makes life much easier (even if not everybody can come to all the shows I do).
