I got interested with Black and Blue when I listened to radio shows in 1976, but Some Girls was my first lp in 1978, I was 13. After that I bought Stones Story as 1 of 3 presents from a book club (thanks mom!) and than I got hooked, still am!

I really got hooked in the year 1997 when I was 17. "Miss You" was the song that got me hooked.

Stones' rendition of Chuck's Carol, 1964. I missed Keith doesn't play any Berry's songs. Would be great to hear just one on August, 26 to close an historic 2 years chapter.

In 1964, I remember being turned on to the Beatles, then I heard "It's All Over Now" on KRLA radio, and thats when I got hooked. That's also when I decided to learn the guitar.

Thanks for the reminder. Now I better understand the
revenge-ism & feel-good-thing from my relatives over the fact
Norway has run past Sweden long long long ago smiling smiley

Thanks to peace here, our forefathers could help Norweigan
resistance men to throw out Terboven and his evil bunch.
One of them was my grandpa.

...But I bet you did learn yourself English thru Radio Lux? winking smiley

Opposite way for me as all my uncles & tanties are Norweigan:
Norway's My big bro. Always been.

Thank you for fighting Adolph's troops! My great grand pa did it
from Finland against the reds. Grandpa went back in '45, rebuilt old Norway.

Back to topic... smiling smiley

1963, I'm 13 and my school friends are talking about the bands that their big sisters go to dance to on Eel Pie Island. We're too young to be allowed to join them, so we watch the Stones on Ready Steady Go on Friday nights and listen to the singles on Radio Luxembourg, on our new transistor radios, under the bedclothes when we're supposed to be asleep. I haven't got any kind of record player but I do have a second-hand reel-to-reel tape recorder, and I record stuff off the radio and the TV: Come On, The Last Time, It's All Over Now, Off the Hook, Play With Fire...

In September 1977. I was into Punk, and bought the Pistols singles God save the queen, pretty vacant and a ramones album...my Dad was with me and he bought Rolled Gold.

I go into the living room and he is playing side 4 - Gimme shelter, sympathy, street fighting man were all on that side..I couldn't believe it!! By the end of 77 I had bought Goatshead, Made in the shade, love you live, plus my own 'rolled gold'...Ive still got them too and will never part with them, even though I have 'em all on CD those vinyl records are precious to me..I will never forget that Summer..the beginning of an obsession that shows no sign of diminishing 30 years on.

It was in 1964 when I bought my first Stones single, " Congratulations" ; of course " Time Is On My Side" was the A side but I loved " Congratulations" alot more! I still have it! After that, I bought everything they ever recorded, many times over from singles, to albums to tapes to dvds to videos. I love that deep sound of the guitar on that single, very 60's.

Probably early 1964 with my ear glued to the radio in Germany, trying to listen to some off-shore stations.

Lose your dreams and you will lose your mind...

My friends, a sum of beautiful stories here...

Somebody print all of them, make a nice booklet and send them to the Stones as a gift...

1976. First album, Rolled Gold. I grew up on my mum´s old rock n roll 78´s. Bill Haley and Tommy Steel. Seemed a natual progression to go onto the Stones from there. Thanks mum. See you at Parken and O2. Rock on.

The obscure version of the Rolling Stones, where you have the 1st side of the first LP and 2nd side is something from "YaYa´s"

You know this album?

1965. Riding in the back seat of my mother's car. She would let us choose the stations because back then "pop" music covered everything from country to soul. When I heard the opening riff to Satisfaction that was it for me. I was hooked on rock and roll and hooked on the Stones as well.I quickly switched my alligence from the Beatles to the Stones, defending them to the end. I still do today.

When I was 11 in the U.K. the only televised music programme was ' Top of the Pops ' I remember quite clearly one Thursday evening tuning in and seeing the Stones do ' Brown Sugar ' ( the clip is widely available ). I just thought Keith was the coolest human being I had ever seen.....now I'm 47 and still do. For the next few years I had to make do with taping from the radio on my tiny Phillips casette recorder. When I started work at 16 I bought a Hi - Fi and ' Get your Ya-Ya's out with my first months pay. I still have the LP. Looking forward to the O2 on 21/8/07.

(excuse my english)
In 1976, two months before they did the first show in Spain. I was 14 years old and probably I was the only boy in my school who knows the Stones.
I didn't buy Black'n'blue, it was too modern, I listened everyday "Rock'n'rolling stones (Decca).

In 1978, during the hype of Grease, there was suddenly this great hit in the charts, Miss You... and a few months later even better Respectable... since then at the age of 12 I was hooked.

1964 on the point of reaching my eighth birthday.

I saw them on "Thank Your Lucky Stars" singing Not Fade Away and I was blown away.

I then spent the next forty years hearing people insist that it was only a phase I was going through.
