Was the entire horn section there? Or just Bobby?

Stones should have done like Bruce sometimes do - open the doors later in the show, he did it when I saw him in smaller venue, great atmosphere when the fans came rushing in

well, they played "I'll Go Crazy", so I'd imagine it was the whole band.

Quite a few of those other songs (Tumbling Dice, Wanna Hold You, etc) feature the horn section.

Nice report RogerStones, thanks!
I don't think we missed much setlist-wise but seeing/hearing them in such a small place with so few people would have been a nice experience.

Wow wow wow, do I understand you correctly?!? You had a ticket but stayed at home???!!!???? How can you do that? At least there would have been 1 fan inside, we would have had a report of the show, know how the bankers reacted and you stayed at home? I just can't believe that!

well..look on the bright side, Mark. If an audience audio recording of it surfaces, at least its not going to be spoiled by having to listen to some idiot in the audience singing along......!

I don't think the crowd was boring. They made a lot of noise, and that was not because they were drunk. They were not. May be it hurts to know people may enjoy a Stones show even if somebody paid a lot for it... come on guys... forget about the jealousy and let other people enjoy life as well!

The whole section was there.

Darryl Jones is the official bass player of the Rolling Stones ! He deserves something else.

That is complete nonsense, especially considering that I saw Keith leaving for a show a few weeks ago in the same van as Blondie.

About how they travel. They drive in their own cars. At age 60+ it is about time you separate private life and work. Mind you these guys have worked together for 45 years. Also Ronnie for 30+ years. So why on earth do you expect these guys to travel like boys scouts on summer camp or students on a budget? They go in their own cars and they have a buch of people with them, wives, friends, collegues, no worries really. Even I me myself happens to travel with my wife at times, but I don't normally bring my collegues back home after a show.

Yea
Staying at home? with a VIP pass?! That doesn't sound right. I know i would go to something like that i don't care who they were playing for. Did he know the Rolling Stones were playing there?

lol

... its not all that usuall to stay back from a stones show, especially these days, for obvious reasons: same songs, same show but worse...

... the kicker is, staying home and listening to an antiquated album of theres..

thats the crack up.

Re: setlist Barcelona
Date: July 14, 2007 06:14

ok
i can understand that (same songs etc)
but this is a little different

you don't have to fight or get trampled by 30,000 people to get to your seat,
or to get beer, you don't have to remain in your seats, being in the back of the museum is probably equal to being in the front row of a stadium.

Plus this show was rumored to be acoustic. c'mon there were only 700 people there!
you can't tell me anyone of us on this board would have turned this down.
This is almost better than a club gig, the only difference from is (maybe) at a club you would have gotten a better setlist

I really like to see how a VIP pass look like. Why dont you show us? Or does the VIP comes in a different form than a usually ticket. Secret codename or what? You surly understand that I doubt that you ever had a ticket.

Hi folks, I also was there standing with the 20 or 30 people expecting....
I would not make my review as RogerStone (hola noi) has already perfect describe it, only to mention that I could see between Stones VIP, Gay Mercader, concert promoter who bring the Stones to Barcelona in 76 and several times more.
Disappointed of course, but as BV (hello, It was good to meet you there with the two belgium guys) there's no sense about jealousy and continue about how it could be or how it could happen.
Introducing another topic, I see that everyone is interested in the setlist and in the million dollars/euro the gig could cost, but I can't find no post regarding the menu....."bon apetit"

How jealous I am ;-)

No, seriously. At least those guys payed 7857 USD per ticket. That's a bargain. So after the prices of this tour you can save some money when they raise the ticket prices according to this show ;-) Rock'n Roll!
