Hi,
I would love to know the opinion of this great artist, I just arrived home from a concert here in Tenerife in his Hymn of my soul Tour, I saw tonite an excelent and amazing concert, whar a voice, music and band amigos!
i would love to read comments about this Sheffield Gentleman. Two hours concert, three encores, revised all his hits and lots of soul tunes. He sounds as in a cd,his band is amazing and at the middle of the concert or before crowd started to leave their seats and began to dance til the end of the concert, impressive!!! Any new if Stones and him played together or opinions?

Ahhhh, the king of the cover version and my own favourite former welder!

Saw him in Montreal 4 - 5 years ago, opening for the Guess Who when they did their reunion tour. LOVE his voice, love the soul of it. He did an hour set and I could have gone home happy at that point. His box set is terrific. Be Home Soon is a great love song, and Leave Your Hat On is ... well ... delightfully raunchy! (Mmmmm - Note to Self: Buy Hat.)

Loved his stage show. He is, as they say, built low to the ground. Every once in a while he would throw his fist in the air and do a triumphant rock-star leap into the air, but he'd only get about an inch off the ground. Love him - wish he would pass this way again. Cry me a River... Yeah!

IMHO...

I also saw Cocker open for the guess who. It was my first time seeing him. I was amazed at how good he was.

No, but Bobby Keys and Jim Price played on the Mad Dogs & Englishmen tour (with Leon Russell).

I have seen Joe about three or four times. Everytime he was fabulous and such a gent. Get the 'Mad Dogs & Englishmen' dvd. It is great.

Mad Dogs & Englishmen is it!
It´s on fire!
Not even comparable to the manufactured pop-rock he did in the 80,s and early 90s.
But - saw him 3 times 2002 - 2006, and he´s back again!

As been said, connection goes thru Bobby K & Leon Russel,
the latter involved in recordings around Let It Bleed-sessions,
Live With Me, where he made the horn arrangements plus played
the piano (Russel). Bobby makes a tremendous effort at
mad Dogs & Englishmen.

I saw Cocker in the 80s at Roskilde: wonderful concert!
One of my highest ranked artists.

He came to Greece a few weeks and I really wanted to go but that paying quite a lot to see Juliette and the Licks before him and (oh, the horror) Scorpions headlining.... I didn't go, but I would really like to have seen HIM!...

Who the f*ck is Mick Jagger?

Aahhhh, thanks for that, B'Bro! Classic! Memory is fuzzy, but was that appearance to put the rumours to rest that Cocker was pissed off with Belushi for the earlier Help From My Friends skit (also on Youtube) or is that a myth? Watched that one again - hadn't seen it for years... Belushi was amazing at his peak. smiling smiley
