There are two new Chuck Berry bootleg dvds out. They are called Chuck Berry Rock & Roll. The first volume has Chuck with Tina Turner from the Roxy in 1982 and 5 Hail! Hail! R&R outtakes. The second volume has a 1972 BBC concert and Chuck on The Mike Douglas show with John Lennon. This clip is halarious. Chuck and John start singing Memphis Tennessee. Yoko chimes in with her yelping and Chucks eyes get as big as silver dollars, like 'oh my god, whats that'. But as a trooper, he keeps on going. Funnier than hell. The dvd finishes off with the TAMI/TNT show.

it's a great jam, ain't it? and it's another reminder that the stones nabbed the wrong bassist to replace bill.

it's available in Europe - at least the 2-disk version is:
(the four-disk version is also available in Europe, if you can handle Region 1 disks)

Get the four disc one though...it has some hilarious stuff, when Chuck just goes waltzing into a Prison with the film crew, a riot ensues, and the female producer barely gets out alive...Not funny for her, I am sure...her telling of the story is actually quite scary...but its only rock and roll...

a great clip, for sure... nice to see how at home the millionaire rockers could still feel in less than glamorous settings.

Spampinato's bouncy style is very wyman-esque. and it may be the compromised setting for recording, but it sounds like Steve Jordan is really bashing at the drums, somewhat amateurishly.
