why exactly do you like to see the Stones "live" ?

seeing all the posts complaining about mistakes the Stones make in their shows, I wonder what exactly is it you do like about their live performances ?
I think the things that make every live concert special and memorable are the unexpected things, the impromptus, the jamming, the asides and, yes, especially the glitches …
Playing music is not a job on an assembly line, music is alive, it involves feeling, feedback from the audience, feedback from your fellow musicians …
If you watch the guys on stage, they move around, they talk to each other, maybe they feel like trying something different on the spur of the moment, see if the others catch on and go along … if they do, fine, if they don't, well then maybe there's a glitch, so what ;-) That's the fun about playing live. And if we're lucky and all of them are in top form at the same moment, then maybe we'll get a magic night.
One reason I like being FOS is because then I can choose who to watch, like watching Keith while the camera is on Mick … At one point in Barcelona Ronnie and Keith were standing side by side jamming away on their guitars, Keith was looking down (at his hands or feet or whatever), all concentrated … and Ronnie poked a finger under Keith's nose as if saying "hey wake up you got something funny under your nose" and they both laughed. If this kind of banter makes you miss a beat or play a wrong note, well, it's called "live" - and that's what I like about it.
