I saw these support the stones in 2003 at Twickenham (the DVD show)
During their set, Concorde flew over the stadium on one of it's last flights and the whole stadium let out an enourmous cheer.
It was the only loud cheer during Starsailors set!

i also kind of like them. i think they are maybe a little to much a pop band and the songs sound too much the same. the guitar sound also isnĀ“t great, but i mean we are used to the rolling stones.

I think their first album, Love Is Here, is to die for, one of my all time favorite albums. The others (2 or 3?) are much less. Singer has a great voice, but they really have to make another quality album.

They sounded good while standing outside in the sun in front of a tent to wait for my Frankfurt tickets exchanged...

yep! here's how i described this godawful band in my paris review:

Why of why did the Stones lower themselves enough to hire the abysmal Starf*cker, or what, was it Starsailor, to open for them? Perhaps to make them sound better? Either way, this was NOT the band to open for the Stones: while to the Stones play blues-based *rock n roll*, Starshitter focuses mainly more on the sort of testosterone-less, souless, colourless, passioneless tripe that has been exported from the UK over the past 5 or so years. (Think Keane, Coldplay et al.) Either way, my friend and I (we were FOS Ronnie's side) had a good time taking a few jabs at the opening act and generally biding our time until the REAL show could begin. Oh,and the nominally male lead singer of StarStar has a bigger chest than Lisa Fischer . . .

*and i'm just like that bird - singing just for you*

Well, I actually wasn't commenting directly on the music, but that fact that the front man has a whacking big pair of MAN T1TS!!

Haha, I'm a fat bloke, but I wouldn't grace the stage before the elegantly-wasted kings of rock with a pair of jugs like that!!!

I did think that the music was cr4p though...and the between song patter was cringe-worthy.

Oily.
