Radio 2 this afternoon on Steve Wright show he heard Keith Say that they don't see each other socially anymore,

I suppose being in each others pockets for 45 years is rather a long time and perhaps having friends outside the band keeps them fresh. Rather like anyone else having friends at work and then going home to a different social life.

So this is anything new???

Actually after viewing the complete Biggest Bang dvd set......I was
pleasantly reminded that (even though they might not "socialize" together)
the mutual admiration and general friendship is still there. It was
real obvious to me.

Obviously this was a package put out by the
Stones but theres lots of bits throughout in which you can't
deny their....brotherhood. Seems their relationship is very healthy.

Anyway...it's funny you mention this.
After watching a couple seasons of the Gene Simmons (KISS) reality
show...........it seems that the band members have virtually no
relationship at all. KISS is ONLY a money-making entity.

I'm not saying that the individual Stones don't view the band
as a MONEYTRAIN (to some extent) but it's seems to be much more.
They still love the music, the lifestyle and each other.

In each others pockets? Keith hasnt even lived on the same continent as the rest of the band for most of the last two decades!

not research....merely observation. and you're right...the second
season was really difficult watch..as everything was completely
manufactured......nothing close to documenting reality.

i hope to god there's not a 3rd season. it makes the ozzy osbourne
show look like a masterpiece.

You never considered just not watching the show? ;-)

The problem with the Gene Simmons show is that it's scripted. There's clips on youtube shot from people on the street of the film crew and cast (The Simmon's) doing multiple takes.

I read that it got the green light for a 3rd season...22 episodes I believe.

absolutely....1st season was entertaining....seemed somewhat real.
so...i watched the 2nd season (Tivo). 2nd season was obviously scripted.
Will not watch a 3rd season. Thanks for your concern

re: Stones socializing..............hell, i rarely socialize with
my only family. we all have different personalities and different lives.
sure we get together for holidays and trade phone calls...

when the stones are on tour or putting an album together they spend
more time together than most of us do with blood relatives.

if they spend too much time together...there's more chance of
pissing each other off.......then....no albums...and no tours.

i thought it was pretty much assumed that the knighted do not mix too very much with commoners unless they can help it.

(and, haa...how do you 'socialize' with keith and not end up in rehab or the emergency room after awhile anyway???)

every time i see one of 'em, i kinda sorta see the other in a way anyway, in some strange way, after all this time...ze glimmer TWINS after all...

(i was still kinda imagaging brian on stage all the way up to '75 shows myself...tho i had never seen the stones live with brian...still he made such an impression on me...even thruout the '72 shows...in fact at every show...i think a bit of brian...) funny how that stuff goes...

what about all these reports of them having lunch together when in london, etc.
