Good point "klypp" looks like that if you sing all things are permitted.
So next time if you want to talk about Sex, Drug & Rock and Roll or even religion just make a lyric to tell what ever is on your mind.

Pathetic.
If the same amount of time was spent DOING SOME REAL GOOD,
as opposed to the drivel posted here, we could solve a lot of problems.

GO DO SOME REAL GOOD RIGHT NOW........Try it you'll like it,

Leave the keyboard(crack pipe), just walk away, you can do it.

What good does all this whining accomplish anyway, are you
just trying to show us how smart/insightful YOU think you are?

There is a lot of real work to be done, get busy.

>> You question whether people should be able to post 'negative' comments. You chose the word 'negative'.
Should not people be able to post their honest genuine reactions/feelings, even if they are critical? <<

maybe i misread the post, but to me it sounded like Rolling Hansie was talking about thinking before posting,
not suggesting "outlawing" honest/genuine reactions. i liked what i thought he/she was saying.

i real rarely post about stuff i don't like, since i don't see what purpose it would serve,
and do see that it could dampen someone else's enjoyment of whatever it is i'd be putting down.
if i don't dig XYZ and someone else does, i'd rather learn from them what is enjoyable about it
than muddy up their pleasure with my lack of resonance to whatever is grooving them.
some people here have given me new ways to hear the music, held it up to the light for me
and pointed out beautiful things i'd missed, and i call that a true gift. (thank you!)

just generalizing a bit, sorry: being a connoisseur doesn't mean being perpetually dissatisfied.
it also means being appreciative of what's fine.
it's really brilliant when someone knows how to convey that appreciation to others.
there are some true connoisseurs on iorr that i've learned miles and miles of great stuff from (thank you!);
and i bet all of us have it in us to be connoisseurs of at least some areas of what the Stones do and/or have done.
only pointing out negatives isn't all there is to it. don't neglect what you love.
if you don't get off on what they do now, tell us about what you do get off on!
just ... don't neglect what you love.
