First Union Center was renamed Wachovia Center 4 years ago.
Veterans Stadium was demolished 3 years ago.
JFK Stadium was demolished 15 years ago.

No, that's real. He did it before, I remember he played in Vienna a while ago.
He just plays small small clubs...

Chuck played Jazz Fest in New Orleans a few weeks ago. But doesn't he look like the kind of guy you would find playing piano bar at a suburban motel somewhere? smiling smiley

Spring US tour would be GREAT!!!!!!!!!

i thought that this (the overall ABB tour) was always considered the last world tour. the implication i got was, that when they could, they might pop up in the US and europe for limited dates in the future, but that this was it for FULL tours, for World tours, and the end of charlie's globetrotting. as a matter of fact, i thought that this decision was actually charlie's in 2005, way before the keef fall incident, that the stones really had to beg charlie to do one more massive romp around the world and that he agreed to it, citing that it would be the last fullblown tour he would participate in. i'm sure somebody has links to these articles. the current keef conundrums may complicate future matters, but i thought it was a given since 2 years ago that this was it for the big stuff.

Stop dreaming. Believe me...this will be the last one. And I really hope it will. I would hate to see decline and still be touring. And somehow they will decline like anybody else.
The reports on the shows this time around havn't been excactly first class. So what I hope is, that the Stones will be able to see for themselves, when it's time. I would love to remember them for what they are...the greatest rock'n'roll band.

winter, it's right that people have been saying since 2005 that this is the last *world* tour,
but the Stones haven't said that. before Keith's surgery some journalist in Australia
claimed someone "close to the band" had said Charlie had said that he wouldn't tour anymore,
but that was never confirmed or reiterated; and besides Charlie always says that. :E

but anyway: "the last world tour" doesn't sound that drastic when you bear in mind
that Voodoo Lounge was their *first* world tour; and besides that, things change.
we'll see, i reckon - or not. :E

Plenty of people would go to a Chuck show. It's how I met him a long time ago. He'll play club-like places and enjoy the hell out of himself. He's very much respected within the music industry (despite what some might think of him here) and has a following in Europe due to the Stones and his connections to the Allmans and his band Sea Level.

As for Chuck's tour plans- bingo. He wouldn't make them if something else was brewing. The European tour is it for the Stones this year. Period. There are no other plans for anything beyond that, not even much talk that could be considered something to build on. This indeed could be it. Others will say "oh, we've heard all that shit before" and that would have some credibility, but never before have they all been in their mid to late 60's with all the assorted health problems, either. For one or two of them, health issues are primary.

They need rest and

I agree, bigger bang is really the last big world tour. maybe they will appear in the future with short things, ore nighters. i also think that bigger bang is the last studio effort; i´ve read in an interview that they made it because it would sound good. maybe it´s better this way, they should start to tidy up their vaults
