if you had to buy one of the first few stones' albums that would be considered the bluesiest which one would it be? i dont have any of the early ones and am going to buy one today...any recommendations?

you can't go wrong with the debut album, 12 x 5 and Now - they're all essential, especially the debut & Now, so ... get 'em all! oh and don't forget the London Years Singles Collection disk one :E
The Rolling Stones (the first album). It's all blues and some rock n roll but mainly blues. Even the production is blues. OOOH is soul, rock and blues and ballads. the other early ones are good and have blues songs but are not produced the same way and are really single collections. The first album is blues according to Brian, Mick and Keith and Bill and Charlie. No other album of theirs is that bluesy not even Beggars despite PW.
The Rollong Stones (1st album) because of all the cover songs. A lot of the things that they recorded at Chess Studios were blues while others were considered to be soul.
