Yep I enjoyed last night's Sheffield show and it did seem like the band did too.
The audience were slow to respond, which PT alluded to-something along the lines of..."Although you're a bit quiet, but I can feel the warmth...".Or summink like that!
I was sat in a good spot,in the lower tier next to Pino but the amount of 'LiveNation' so-called VIPs that really shouldn't have bothered coming was amazing. They spent their time chatting, texting or wandering to/from bog/bar,at least until "My Generation".What's the point?
The absolute joy was hearing Wire And Glass played live-it was done really well and I just hope the guys persist with it.Also "I'm One" was outstanding!
It's Hull next, unless anyone has a spare for Newcastle in the front-row,ha-ha-hah!
Ahem...from the original Stones line up remain three I think. No big difference. It's great that they only play with a group of six people. Not many of the dinosaurs can or want to do that.
I Can't Explain, The Seeker, Relay, Fragments, Who Are You, Behind Blue Eyes, The Real Me, Sound Round, Pick Up The Peace, Endless Wire, We Got A Hit, They Made My Dream Come True, Mirror Door, Baba O'Riley, Eminence Front, I'm One, A Man In A Purple Dress, Mike Post Theme, Real Good Looking Boy, My Generation, Cry If You Want, Won't Get Fooled Again, Pinball Wizard, Amazing Journey, Sparks, See Me Feel Me, Tea And Theatre
I wished they would have played some of the Quadrophenia stuff on the NA tour, but I guess for whatever reason they left it for Europe. BTW, how is the Real Me? That was a song that was a John Enwistle showpiece. His bass was more of the lead than Petes guitar.
