I can't find what they are playing through their first few shows. Anyone see a set-list?

I'm not a fan but I'd have expected Reeling In The Years. Perhaps it's deemed a Warhorse (there's that word again).

When I saw them a few years back they didn't play Reelin and really didn't play too many of their other well known hits either. When I saw CSNY this past summer they didn't play Suit Judy Blue Eyes. So I guess for any band they don't need to play their biggest hits all the time...

Take note Mick..

Yeah, very few of the "Steel Horses" in that list.

Among the missing - "FM", "Midnight Cruiser", "Deacon Blue", "Any Major Dude" "Rikki, Don't Lose That Number", "Cousin Dupree"

"No Anchovies, Please"

I've seen the quite a few times since 1993 and "Reelin in the Years" does not make the set often. When it does, it's a slower non-inspiring version that falls flat.

I've completely missed this Steely Dan reunion. [head in the sand as usual I'm afraid]

Who's in the band and who's missing ?

why is there this sudden interest for Steely Dan?

Not sure, but like some other folks, I've always enjoyed their music without really being a "fan".
..and they've always toted some mighty fine guitar players ;^)

good music over time will always find an audience young and old. The music they wrote is timeless.

Not a bad setlist as things go. I'm a pretty big Steeley fan and wouldn't mind that. Although the only time I saw them live about ten years or so ago, they were kind of boring until they did My Old School. Hopefully theyv'e perked up the live act. But a very deep catalog to coose from for hardcore Dan fans.

Reeling in the Years would be nice, but I'd want to hear My Old School, Rikki, Dirty Work. I'm not a big enough fan for the rest of that set to entertain me... I don't think.

I'll take that set list any day.

Well, my investments in another band don't allow me to travel to see SD.

Thought about getting tickets. Then I thought again. Not in love with that setlist or number of tunes.

I'm not a big fan of Steely Dan. I have a couple of their albums and I think one CD. But they are the best known band playing in my town tonight so I'll be there.

At least I can draw a Stones connection to tonights concert. Cindy Mizelle will be on stage signing backup with The Dan. Can't believe it has been 17 years since I last saw her sing.

I'll let you know if the show was worth it.

Any more set lists? I can't believe how hard it is to find a Steely Dan set-list! I wanted to see if it is changing at all.

Can anyone find a set-list to a recent show?

Isn't Kovach's post above recent enough? (2nd one.)

I worked the Steely Dan show at Mohegan Sun on Thursday. My description of the show is "uneven". Some songs really hit a groove and others seemed to plod along. Very good band. Donald Fagen's voice is unique. The setlist was more or less the following.

Intro (sort of a riff on Fagen's "what I do")
Time Out Of Mind
Godwhacker
Bad Sneakers
Everything Must Go
Hey Nineteen
Haitian Divorce (Becker lead vocals) Great groove.
Peg
Babylon Sisters
Two Against Nature
Gaslighting Abbie
Dirty Work
Josie
Aja
Kid Charlemagne

Encore:
Black Cow
Bodhisattva
Jazzy Outro

Too much Aja for me, but very entertaining.
