Losing my touch would be the first wish (keith) song!

Losing My Touch is Keith's worst song, and the only bad Keith song. And if Keith's current songs make the audience take a piss break, imagine what would happen if he played this...

I'd suggest:

Careless Ethiopians with Toots Hibbert on guest-co-vocal (or Mick!!!)
Connection
and/or, at times, This Place Is Empty.

Let Me Down Slow & Connection (if they can get it right). Let Me Down Slow would go over well I think. Gotta Agree Losing My Touch would be one of my bottom tier song choices. Don't Care For it. Rather Sleep Tonight (If want never done Keith Ballad). MEZ

true. its more of a song you'd want to hear preformed at in a small club or in a pub.

lmds fan right here...hugely...loved that one since the first time i heard it. what a one two punch abb opened with!
(and as time has passed, that's the two on that album i find myself reaching for regularly in my personal life day to day.)
ldms = the worldwide hit single that never bothered to release.

yep, had they released it, it could have appeared on their next compilation 'Forty Flops,' alongside such mainstays as Don't Stop, Rain Fall Down, and Flip the Switch!

that's a little harsh; don't stop is growing on me...when i saw how charlie rose played a cool live clip after a mick interview...it's like the people's song back to the band now...'dont stop'...(tho i admit i never saw it as 'first tier' stuff imo)...lmds is elegant fine and rockin'; great harmonies, wonderful silvery gits weave...excellent lead vokes and drummin'...i even find it heartfelt and believable...guess it's a matter of taste and preference and stuff like that...

actually, billy, i like all of the songs mentioned. (except LMDS.) my point was that, commercially at least, it would have tanked.(like all post-Mixed Emotions singles.)

p.s. you having as nice a day in seattle as we are down here in portland?

Hmmmm....basically I've always thought of the Stones as a small-club-type-of-band so in that respect all (or most anyways) of their songs belong in a small club or pub ;-)

oh man nik; it so clear bright and sunny...it's almost 70 degrees...perfect lovely...
check this out...!!

very sunny and clear; click on 'downtown skyscrapers' (bottom of list to the left)
then click the 'direction arrow' ("MOVE") once to the right...
gives u two different clear perspectives on mr. ranier right from the city...
zoom or not as you will...

this is looking south, down your way in portland...(i'll be down before long to play the mississpi club...)
launch the web cam and look about...i'm right where the downtown skyscrapers meet the water...sun streaming thru the windows, seventy degrees and sno capped mountains in every direction...kinda sweet...

...og, and I love "Losing My Touch" and I don't care if the whole stadium would choose to go to the toilets during that....then I'll go and have a leak during "Miss You" ;-)

Yup - when I was two I decided they were already getting a bit long in the tooth so I gave them up ;-)

Hmmm..don't know if you are pulling my leg or what - but the whole idea of the Stones - as I see it - is them basically being a pub-rock sort of band who happen to play on large stages (and doing it better than any other band - largely thanks to Jagger)

Take a band like Queen - they were never meant to be local boys playing in the pub or small stages - they were custombuilt for stadiums and Freddie would not have liked it any other way

pull - pull - pull . . . though i do agree with you to some degree: a lot of their blues and country numbers demand to be played in smaller venues. (i recall Dead Flowers, one of my all time favourite songs, sounding strangely out of place at Dodger Stadium) however, a lot of their "big rock songs," songs like Brown Sugar, Street Fighting Man, All Down the Line, If You Can't Rock Me etc. demand to be played BIG and LOUD.

Tumbling Dice, on the other hand, works just about everywhere - even with me on lead VOX, in the shower, most mornings!
