I have searched the 'Tell Me' pages and don't know if this question has been posted. I'm sure it has but .... Is the Sunday London O2 show possibly the last Stones show? The Stones have never said when they will stop touring. Charlie is getting up there and he can't go on forever. Stupid me missed Cream at RAH and I don't want to miss this. Any Thoughts? I'm really debating on whether to go to London.

I doubt it. No one will know when the last show was until after the event.
I do think they will cut down on touring, however.

Oh boy, you sure missed out there in my opinion. Saw 3 of the Albert Hall gigs and the final night at MSG. You should have made the trip to NYC - I know at least a couple of Californians that did. The last night at the RAH was the best gig I ever saw, with the exception of Led Zep at Knebworth. OK OK number 3 on my list was Twickenham last year. Hoping the O2 might top that.

There will be a last show, of course. But nobody , really nobody including the Stones themselves could and would say by now when and where it is going to be. Every show could be the last one or it could go on for years....so I see no reason in speculating about that, my advice is : Enjoy them as long as they are around, let's be grateful and happy for every single minute they play live for us. Don't whine about setlists, high ticket prices, @#$%& up solos or bad sound in terrible places (soundwise) like the Amsterdam Echodome, enjoy and be grateful - or don't go!

I don't think so.

Charlie's resigned at the end of every tour since 1969, Ronnie says they'll die on stage - I mean, I don't think they know how long it'll continue, let alone us. But I don't think it's the end of live shows even if it is the last big tour.

The last show will occur or will have occured post the death of either Mick or Keith......issue over.

i agree that if mick or keith died, the stones would finish.

i woudnt want them to go with replacements, it woudnt be the same band.

yeah africa-most major acts play s africa. mick loves africa. he spends time in zanzibar. he collects african art. why not africa?

I thought that the purpose of the stones was to give as many people as possible the chance to see them.

Remember last year same time the did the same procedure. Horsens Sept 3 then a break then Foxboro Sept 20.
They have been talking about these shows for many years. Also one more city on that same list - Johannesburg.
