They asked 50 stones fans on 28 29 mai to see the stones getting out of a limo, for the scorsese movie

Voilà un chouette casting pour les fans des .......Rolling Stones.
En deux mots, c'est un documentaire sur ...........Martin Scorsese dans
lequel apparaissent les Stones.
Sortie de Back stage ils sortent et s'engouffrent dans une limou
(j'imagine).
Besoin donc de 50 fans et paparazzi pour leur sortie.
Tournage prévu le 28 ou 29mai
Un journée pas comme les autres...

If it was anything like the Beacon Theater gigs back in October: you must be a blonde woman, under 25 y.o. and weigh less than 100lbs.

Yeah, a typical Stone fan was front row for the Beacon shows. What a joke.

It says that the Stones are getting out from backstage, I guess they need shots to show the fans outside the "Beacon"...

Do they have this shots in BELGIUM ??????????????

I mean should they really shoot extras-supposed to be the back of the beacon- in belgium few days for the werchter gig ??????

The Beacon thing was a joke. I was watching them from the front row of the balcony and they had either total disinterest or phony enthusisam. What a coincidence that all the fans in the front were 17 year old blondes.

Dang -- I'll bet Bill will wish he was back onstage with his old buddies, IF he decides to watch it. Of course, being 17, they might be too old for him. (Sorry, bad joke --couldn't be helped).

that's what i heard...true? did canne come and go yet?

does the canne thing and the belgium movie-extras thing happen anywhere close to the same dates or time period?
have no idea what scorscese is up to, of course; but a little wary.
can only say i was a just a trifle relieved when mick described it as a 'concert film' (in the webcast euro '07 announcement...) hope someone is reining in marty on the hollywood vision revisionist thang and just gives us the boyz, all of them, not like aspects of the robbie roberston show (albeit classic filmed performance footage in last waltz)...

hoping for great sustained cohesive performance shots of all of 'em; i love to see them live and am fascinated by their unspoken communication together...just fasinated by them... and do not personally wish for much of that stereotypical constant cutting docu crapola, that takes away the performance flow...
meanwhile t.a.m.i next month...intense.

beely, my friend, I love Scorsese as much as the next Deniro/Pacino fan but I have a gut feeling (not that I have much of a gut, mind you) that Scorsese is going to overproduce this movie and only give us snippets of concert footage a la "Don't Look Back"..........I hope I'm wrong

many fans here said the beacon was a particularly outstanding show...
so i want my beaconnnnnn....(have heard some snippets but not with good fidelity; i should probasbly check hotstuff)...

First of all it's CANNES (no offense so let's not start WWIII). It's always nice to show respect to other countries (especially these days as this EXPERIMENT called America is on life support with new lows for the Dollar, etc.) Anyway, this movie sounds as "plastic" as Hollywood itself. And Stef, Marty S. doesn't have to be there, he'll get an assistant to shoot what's called "B roll". All movies are done that way - the director isn't ALWAYS there if an assistant can easily handle it. In the end, I think the Rock and Roll Circus performance is gonna be 100 times more interesting and REAL than this new one - too much of too much going on..... Sounds like typical "Hollywood 2007" IMHO.....

Yup - and still we'll all be paying to see it in the movies and buying the DVD of the movie...or whatever new format they've invented by then *lol*

As regards to it beging a concert movie and only that? Who'd want that?? I mean - that's what "Four Flicks" and the new four-dvd-concert ("For a few dollars more")set is for - isn't it?

Thanks Beely. The more I hear about this film - especially throwing all those Blonde teenie boppers up front at the Beacon - the more it makes me nervous. Love Scorcese but his latest work (leaving out THE DEPARTED) hasn't been his best. I think the guy who directed the new NINE INCH NAILS Concert DVD (reddish cover) has got shooting a concert down solid. I wish I knew his name but this guy knows how to make you feel like you are there. Excellent work up there with GIMME SHELTER and STOP MAKING SENSE. In the end the Stones should hire this guy to direct a few European shows - the guy has got the magic touch, VERY RARE.....

Exactly Mofur, I'll buy it and bitch all the way through it (unless there's PLENTY of concert footage - but no "speed editing" like Hal Ashby on LSTNT - that was too much, the pay per view was much better)

I reluctantly agree with Lukester...the mere fact that Scorsese and Jagger [I put this at his feet too - Scorsese does nothing without Jaggers tacit approval re: the Stones] have deemed necessary to put such a dispiriting amount of artifice in this production spells doom for those of us who hoped for an authentic record of the Stones in the sunset of their years.

The pre-packaged gallery of teenie waifs in the front row of the Beacon show is an embarrassment. This ain't Stones rock and roll - music with integrity and Eros and truth flowing naturally forht...this is old men's sad self-deceit. Utterly unnecessary and foolish. A normal insane, inspired Stones crowd would have had looked amazing and reflected the many generations still flocking to see the nastiest bar-band ever.

And now Scorsese wants more coverage so he shoots another pre-packaged wolf-pack of nubiles adoringly offering up their pert wares to a group of craggy 60 year old urchins? Slap me awake...

The Cannes Film Festival runs from the 16th to the 27th of May...the awards are given out on the 26th and 27th and then Marty [or his assistant] can take a Trans-Rapide train and be in Belgium Monday morning to shoot the Stones 'getting out of their limo...'. Christ.

The schedule fits perfectly for this ruse...

hey mofur.......cool answer but actually we've seen all the docu-interview stuff right?.....just my opinion, mind you, but I would like to see a concert up close in the Beacon.....with the Stones.....without a lot of back and forth between the concert and "rare" footage and interviews.........but that's just me talkin'...........

Yes some lenghty concert footage sounds great, but I really really think there will be lots of cuts and interviews there, I just hope they leave the songs -they do include - intact.

Lukester, yeah, I wanna see the show up close and real but it ain't sounding that way so far (let's hope Marty pulls off another LAST WALTZ) I still say get the NINE INCH NAILS director dude - that DVD is AMAZING !!!(excellent sound mix too)

I know what you mean Erik. It sucks when they start showing a song,you get into it,then all of a sudden they cut to an interview or something.

exactly SCL, it's like Saturday Night Live these days - you get GIDDY if there's ONE funny skit per show....things are getting watered down......
