Re: Opening Song at your First Stones Concert

"Not Fade Away", Helsinki 1995. The biggest thrill of my life, well at least as far as as music is concerned. Having waited for that about 12 years. I was eager to finally 'experience' them - funny - a bit afraid also. What if my biggest heroes turned to be sucking? I have so much expectations. Anyway, they didn't let me down. Quite contrary: I was in heaven and the band sounded awesome. Remember singing and dancing like crazy with the rest in FOS during "Tumblin' Dice" which was the second number... and then I remember understanding - just during THAT song that I never liked very much - why the band belongs to class of its own in concert, live: you need to BE THERE: No any recording will do respect for that; difference is like having sex or watching pornography. I have never heard a boot from that gig, and I won't like to hear either. I quess it was 'objectively speaking' quite a regular standard quality gig, and like any boot since 1989, quite a bore I would suppose.
