Hey Debra, I've always loved the Stones...I remember liking Let It Bleed when it came out.....and Sticky Fingers.....but it seems like I always had a problem seeing them live.
For example, when they came to NC in 1972 I was a too young according to my parents. In 1975 I couldn't get off work at Chick-Fil-A to see them. In 1978 I was in Japan. In 1981 I was finishing up at college and moving to my new job......I know these are lame excuses but finally I saw them in 1989.
....and which one of the "New Kids ON The Block" do you think I look like?

So was mine...First ever Stones gig on July 4th 1982 in Cologne Müngersdorfer Stadion... Intro: take the A Train from Duke Ellington I think...than followed by a hard rocking version of UMT....after hanging around for 8 hours in front of the stage on a hot summer day this was like an explosion ...like I was born again... I had to wait 8 years till I could see my second Stones gig..again in Cologne... this time it was May 30th 1990 during Urban Jungle...which had an impressive opening by the Intro from Continental Drift & Start me Up...which was again overhelming....and my third Stones gig followed just the next night on May 31st..my last gig so far was Paris 2006....the next one will be Frankfurt 2007
Under My Thumb, Wembley Stadium 25 June 1982. Waited 8 hours at the front of the stage in the pouring rain after walking there because of a tube strike.
It wasn't my first Stones show, but the 1997 Oakland show was significant. I was expecting Mick to make his usual grand entrance to start the show, but WHAM... the first thing for our eyes and ears was Keith slamming into Satisfaction, with that huge oval screen behind him. And every tour I've seen since (99, 02, 05, 06) it's been Keith coming out first.
