oh f*cking marvellous...as it happens i have both vols 1 & 3 on CD...had to source 'em on Ebay, and they're cracking...bought 'em on tape when they came out and pretty much wore them out...

I was never the biggest Dylan fan in the world, but considering the weight of the worlds media on his shoulders 24/7, this was such an endearing project...the sound of him and a few other old goats just having a laugh...

I have Vol 1 but never did secure 3, other than a copy a friend taped for me back in the day.

I got Handle with careon 10" vinyl.

Love the album, not so sure about v.3

Great era. Harrisons Cloud Nine, Tom Petty's Full moon fever, Orbisons Mystery Girlalbums.....

Is it true that the CD releases of Travelling Wilburys vol 1 and 3 are actually bootlegs? I've read it somewhere....they released those albums as tapes and vinyl only

naw - i got the original wilburys albums - like i say - on cassette in 1988 and '91 respectively. Both were certainly available as CD also, and when i eventually did get 'em on CD a few years ago, the Vol 3 was a kosher Warner Bros release and the Vol 1 was one of those 'Record Club' versions from the US such that it was still 'p in a circle' 1988 Ganga Distributors, but marketed by BMG special markets or something...

both official...

Christ - i'm a right fookin' anorak...grinning smiley

I have both original WB CD versions, but the bootlegs - sourced from the same CDS - have some good extra material on them.

No..theyre both officially released on CD format (1988 and 1990) but have since been deleted.

This is great. The Traveling Wilburys were great, just a cool combo of old school rock n roll.

Volume One is absolutely fantastic. Volume three no where near so good, but still worth owning.

'Handle with care' is a classic.

Didn't Jeff Lynne produce all 3 of those albums?

"It's just some friends of mine and they're busting down the door"

Lynne produced 3 songs on the Orbison album and co-produced the other two albums.
