.....But you don't know this right? GlimmerTwin81?? That's what I need to know. Do you have confirmation that the Chicago show is in?
I don't think they'd put it in for the simple reason that Chicago was pretty identical to Rio in terms of the setlist.

chicago and rio might be pretty identical
but rio will not be on dvd as complete show
there will be a short docu and a few songs of the rio
concert
the stage, the sound, the boring crowd ( worst crowd in south america ever) and the fact having austin with the onstage stage circumvent the rio show on dvd
mick jagger confirmed rio at the tour announcement
but not as complete show
so Chicago will be on

In other words: Pure speculation.
I agree that the National Geographic programme should be on. I don't think it will be only a few songs from Rio though. The fact that this was their largest audience ever gives it more than enough reason to be released in full lenght.

Crossing my fingers for Horsens still, but there's probably 0.5% chance of it being that one.

Gee - I wonder why

Anyway, whilst I've no idea whether or not the two Chicago shows (not 'show' - singular) in Jan 2006 were filmed, theres no way they'd use the first one anyway.

Mick's voice was in such bad shape due to a sore throat that he actually asked UK journalists who had flown over to interview him to review the second night and not the first one.

Doesnt sound like a likely candidate for a DVD release. Nice try, though.

They have planty of shows to choose from, as many shows on the ABB tour were filmed:

Boston
Detroit - both Comerica Park and Super Bowl
Rio de Janeiro
Buenos Aires
Tokyo (?)
Saitama
Shanghai
NYC (beacon shows)
Austin

... and perhaps a few more.

Is it possible that they will be using the big screen tapes and do a compilation from many different shows?

Nothing wrong with the filming, only complaint I have about this is that the sound is slightly distorted.

Since we're all basically taking wild guesses, I'd place odds on Boston making the cut, simply because of the unusual setlist, AND Mick's spectacular attire. (see [www.iorr.org] )

All we really know is that Rio and Austin are confirmed.

However, I'd think that the widest possible selection of songs would be chosen.

The Los Angeles Forum, March 6,06,was recorded too,and that's an Arena, and filmed i should say both.I've already seen a clip of ONNYA,and it was pretty dam, good.but i was at that show and i've seen better on this tour, that's for sure but it was good.

I agree that the 3/22 Tokyo show wasn't a very good performance, but I still don't see why using an Asian show is such a stupid idea. Your reasoning that American's won't buy it because they don't want to see an Asian audience doesn't convince me. But everybody's entitled to their own opinion.

you're all figuring that the shows will be as they were. They wear the same clothes on stage for a reason. If for example they need a crowd shot to fill empty seats they have it, if micks shirt was too creased up they have footage from another show, don't worry about mess ups either it'll be heavily overdubbed as the youtube leak already shows us. Chicago 'as it was' would be doubtful but we'll see... maybe we'll get chicago in some 'form'

Calm down. No need to act so pricky.
I'll keep a look-out for Chicago.
Since The Phoenix Club gig was also filmed, do you think that it could be in this DVD set too?

No. For the same reason the Double Door and Palais Royale club gigs haven't been released. At most they might include short clips in a documentary, but they won't release a rehearsal show on an offical DVD.

This would be a killer show to have

The superbowl and press conference at Julliards would be great to have too and the Churchill Downs show - was that filmed? I thought it was. Wouldn't rule out that one.

The Spekulatin' Cat says:

that the stones (read Jagger) would want the Shanghai show on this DVD. I think Mick likes the Asian audiences and spoke at leangth of "breaking into china". I dont know the setlist or the show's quality but I think for marketing reasons, Mick might push for it.

Personally, I'd like to see some songs from the Gillette (Boston) show- great setlist and spirited show. (the show is a bit uneven, though)

does anyone know if Glasglow was filmed? I listened to UrbanSteel's compilation Best Bangs 2 weeks ago and the band seemed really tight.

the cat still spekulates that for Europe this summer the stones will cover James Brown's "it's a Mannnz world"
