Jon, thanks for that explanation on Basque. I speak 4 languages, and I bet many people on this board speak multi languages. I have found that most languages from the West Europe are not that hard. Only Basque seems completely it's own animal. One time I drove through San Sebastian and the Basuq country and it was so different to me.

The tongue spoken by those who use to call themselves - and most often also are used to be called - our Swedish-Norweigan-Finnish-Russian aboriginals or indigenous people: the Sami people.

Hey, Domingo, and Cat, I didn't know we have canarian members here! I've just come home from a 2 week (hiking) holiday on La Palma and I really really loved it! Very beautiful place to live, I think! I'm studying Spanish at university, but I've just started. I was able to understand what you wrote, though because of my Latin and French skills ;-)

Hi Cat,I have a friend from Germany called Daniele Jagger, always make fun with her surname..."you have to go and see your uncle Mick when he plays there" hahahahahaha,I miss her...
Då kan ju du och jag förstå varandra alldeles utmärkt bra, åtminstone vad språket beträffar. No good, can't speak, wound up, no sleep. (där finta ja dem)
