I'm very very glad for you guys! I actually thought that it would been assigned to Croatia/Hungary, because I've been there, and I think they're amazingly beautiful countries. As an italian, I sincerely hoped that Euro 2012 wouldn't be assigned to Italy, because now there's a lot of shit (that's the proper term, sorry) going on here as far as football is concerned, and also because we had the great chance with the 1990 World Cup, and we failed big time: so many politicians robbing and making money out of it! And also this time they were already up for it, beleive me...
So! Congratulations! If I'm not happening to visit your country beforehand (but I definitely will), I'll hopefully take the chance in 2012! Or both times!!

I think it's great. Although I am not particulary fond of the Polish Government (in 2012 I think the government won't be the same), Poland is a great and beautiful country with great people as is Ukraine. It's about time. Those former-behind-the-iron-curtain-countries belong to Europe as much as those western European countries so after all those western European countries it's fine that two eastern European countries will finally host the EURO!
I was hoping for Hungary/Croatia too, but I am sure it will be a great EM in Poland and the Ukraine! But before that, hopefully you'll enjoy the EM in my home country Austria and in Switzerland next year!
Congrats to Poland/Ukraine - just saw the news on the BBC. Yes Poland is a beautiful country but let's remember something that's not mentioned often enough.... The Polish women are mostly fantastic looking AND very liberal thinking (when it really matters). It must be a reaction to all those years of Government surpression, not EXACTLY sure why but that's MY theory....

Yes. Good on Poland/Ukraine. They will rise to the task I'm sure.
It's funny. I work with about 20 people from Poland and they didn't even mention this at work last night.

may I partially disagree!
Indeed Polish girls ARE cute BUT they are not at all liberal thinking!
I've been living with a Polish lady since 4 years by now, and I can tell you that the leash is way too short ...
