Les Perrin exaggerated facts a bit in his report. According to witness there were at most 3 thousand fans outside the venue not 10, and the police didn't shoot gas but water. Still it must have been hot day.
But the funniest story was when the Stones got their money for shows. Polish currency had no value outside the country so there was no point in taking it with them. And in those days there was hardly anything they could buy in Polish shops. So they decided to buy a WHOLE CARRIAGE of Polish vodka!!! However customs fees would be to high if they wanted to transport it to England so the vodka stayed in Poland.
