Why do people keep complaining about guitar playing mistakes?I mean,if you were there and loved every second of the show why do you have an urge to complain afterwards just because the bootleg tape let you down?

i was there - and it was great! For me it was one of my best stones concerts ever, and i have seen a couple of them since 1982...and i was just in front of the stage, and there the atmosphere was really good! Enoyed it a lot!

For me, it was much better than their Viennese Concert of the Licks-Tour - whats your opinion?

Well they made a heap of mistakes at the Melbourne show too - but it was the greatest concert I ever saw.

The Stones are about feel which invites mistakes I guess.
At least it's real.

I heard it rocked. Some people even say it's the best ABB concert to date.

I enjoyed the Viennese Licks-show so much - the best stadium-show in 2003 from my point of view. but I had my son with me (5 years old back then) ând it was all magic for him. sure enough that made it even more fun for me. didn't like the 2006-shows that much. for me it was interesting at its best in Vienna and boring in Munich, boring again in Stuttgart.

I agree about the Munich concert. I liked it, perhaps quality wise a bit better than Vienna - but the mood was not there

This is disturbing. After years of listening to Philly '81 and thinking it was fantastic, I find out it was the worst show ever. now this is the worst show ever. GREAT sketch at the link above! Great sketch schillid!

I have to agree it was bad,,,,really bad,,they sucked that night

I can't say for all the ABB Tour concerts, but Paris was by far the best Stones performance at the Stade de France

They were excellent that night, one of my best concert souvenirs.

munich was a fiasko
ronnies solo on ycagwyw
has been the worst in many many years
and the audience reminded me of USA shows

the show was great! sure they made some mistakes, but I really didn't care. now I laugh at it while I listen to the bootleg. the crowd could have been better, but the Stones made up for it, they were in the mood. not to mention that the setlist was fantastic.

Funny, I really thought Ronnie played fine in Munich! I listened carefully, wasn't jumping around as usual, the audience was really lame around me...

I don't care about number of socalled technical mistakes. The Vienna 2006 show was one of the best shows of the tour, for me, and for many others, that is for sure. I talk to people, I was there, I don't care about bootlegs. Just see the reviews from that show on IORR:

There are four reviews. Every single one say this show was great, one of the best. These reviews are just the ones I got at that time the day after the show, before we moved on to the next show in Munich last summer. Pretty typical and representative I would say.

If you aim at the technical perfect Stones show then you will have A LOT of disappointents. They are not a studio band. They do many mistakes, but their sound, their groove., their beat and the mood in the crowd is like with a great football team. Even football teams make many many mistakes, but wteh they do a great game, whether they win or loose, it is a memory for lifetime. You know if you have been there. But if yo watch it from a TV recording it makes no sense, because you haven't been there, there's not atmosphere in a recording.

I have said this many times, and I will keep saying this.

the show in vienna has been fine
also the one in munich
of course they did a lot of mistakes
but that's the rolling stones
