Gazza, I completely agree with you. As is my usual habit. Are you Scottish by any chance? I'm part-Glaswegian, which may explain the synergy of opinion.

Anyway, I really did think, having renewed my membership to rs.com in the hope that they'd play London again in 07, that Legacy membership meant you got front block seats, as opposed to third block seats. Obviously not the way it works at all. Funnily enough, I got offered C1 seats on my first attempt, rejected them and tried again. Got offered C1 A row, so I thought I'd best take them.

I don't actually think the Rolling Stones give a good shite about their fans, at the end of the day. I joined the similar Who site (where you pay $100/£60 to get priority booking when tickets go on sale) and I've got A block tickets for both nights. That's the way the Stones ought to do it. But they don't. Grrrrr. Anyway, all these considerations will inevitably count for nothing at the gig. We'll go, we'll have a good time ... And this could, after all, really be the last time for the UK. Maybe.

150 + 15 = 165 ponds this is in Euro 243 Euros for a noise bleed seat. You got to be rich to buy a noise bleed seat these days.

Like me you obviously all seem pissed off.

I wonder if my presale code which I didn't use would be valid when the third date is announced.

I didn't pay for Legacy membership to be stuck with rows P or N in Blocks A1 + A3. I kept paying my membership fee to get within the 1st 5 rows at least.

As far as I'm concerned the Stones can piss off. I'll be spending my hard earned pounds on my 2nd fave bands' tickets (now favourite band after this incident).

Yes, there are only 2, but Legacy members have renewed their memberships at least once, i.e. long-term members and Platinum is just how the membership is called. New members are Platinum and long-term members are Legacy Platinum.

Still plenty of tickets around on TM for the 21st, only not for the floor. I want A1 or A3 and nothing less. If not I'll get some other ticket in the end...

I hate to say it but it sounds like the US,You will never get the 1st or 2nd row . The first 8 seats off the cat in row 1 and the first 4 seats off the cat in row 2. Those seats are from the band, there called band pulls and unfortunatly there worth alot of money in major cities so managment sells them to brokers or people willing to pay big for them or somebody on the inside will get them for free,it's all about who you know on the inside.

Got 2 tickets for the first London show, BK 107 224-225. I found the seating chart and they look like they have a good view of the b-stage. Anyone know if these seats are good/bad for sure?

That's hard to say, because the O2 arena hasn't opened its doors yet as a music venue. If any IORRs are going to Justin Tinberlake and are bold enough to admit it then maybe they can give us the lowdown.

From the set up it looks like a smaller version of Twickenham.

Hi Hamish,

it's gotta be the reformed Crowded House. At least tickets will be of reasonable value so I can see plenty of shows, decent setlists, good humour from the band and general admission. What more could a fan want?

LOL!

From the floor plan I would say it's maybe Madison Square Garden-ish in layout.

If it's a good venue (and I would hope so) maybe we Brits can finally say goodbye to Earls Court, and, to an extent Wembley Arena.

The acoustics should be OK. There are no big straight flat surfaces to bugger things up. I could be wrong, but it LOOKS right. Maybe somebody with experience of the hall will give us an opinion.

I ended up taking block 112 for the second show using a platinum membership. The tickets on that sale appeared to be better than the O2 ones so I think they must have come from a different pool of tickets. John Giddings at Solo (the man behind the Isle of Wight Festival) is a great believer in the auctioning off of front block seats hence his involvement in that happening at Twickenham for Genesis this summer. Given that I think it may happen for the London shows. Apart from the odd few I honestly don't think fans who are not prepared to pay for packages, auctions etc can expect the top seats for any of the O2 shows. I'm still holding a legacy membership and will try it for the Saturday show - if it is announced - but I'm not optimisitic about my chances.

Before I admit anything, could I just say it is work and I didn't pay for the tickets! ......I will be going to the Justin Timberlake show so will be taking a close look at the seating arrangements and will report back.

I used my legacy code at 9:00 a.m. and got 4 seats in A1 Row P for the 21st, which I guess is OK. Couldn't get anything decent for the 23rd.

Re: Did Anyone get decent seats for O2

I've read on here of some fans who scored "A" block lowered numbered row seats u close on many occasions but yeah, most of the time...not so much...you can still get pretty good floor/pitch/FOS seats but not always gauranteed with pre-sale. Very true that corporations, brokers, VIPs get first shot at closest seats...
Venues often release the worst seats first and work their way closer to the front.
Some of the best seats I've had were obtained closer to show time. They play on the fact people want the tickets "right now" so it's not always first come first served for best seats...sometimes, but not gauranteed...unfortunately.

I have B2 row 3 for Frankfurt and OP (FOS) for Paris...that'll be fine.
Like Keef, I'm glad to be there, glad to be anywhere...

Correct - and thats the most annoying thing and whats souring a lot of their reputation in recent years

No doubt!

It will be for me anyway.

Meanwhile in another galaxy, Dylan's management and promoters yet again secured an arrangement with the various Dylan fan networks (ie, NOT the official site) to secure priority ticketing for the UK shows as theyve done every year since the early 90s. For a minimal handling charge of about a fiver, I managed to get 5th row centre for Wembley 1st night and I'm expecting something similar for the 2nd night. I also got 8th row Sheffield for friends. Tickets cost about £40 or so and the system bypasses all the TM rip off fees. All I paid was a cheque for the face value of the tickets, a £5 handling fee and the cost of a recorded SAE.

The shows sold out anyway, so he could have sold these tickets to VIPs and corporates etc for a lot more, but chooses to reware the loyal fanbase instead.

I took a look at the Fanasylum VIP Packages (over $1400, each), and they offer rows A-H, and then they have seats for the "Hot Seats" and the "Travel Packages" so it looks like most of the front of the floor is held back for these packages.

Yes, Gazza, Dylan certainly runs things like that well.
I find it confusing that we sit here on this Stones board day after day with eyes & ears open,
and still are unable to get a ticket for London unless we pay 200£...and even those ones are in the tier, or C section.
I can't see them unless a miracle happens for the Aug 25th sale, which I really doubt.

We bought 20 tix for the 21 and the 23, using the O2 code. We are not O2 customers, but it worked out fine. We just filled in the code, choose the tix, and then logged in to Ticketbastard, and paid. So we saved 500$ in unused platinum memberships, that we cancelled now. Ok, we did not get on the floor, but being there, with a decent seat almost exactly opposite the stage, with my best friends, can´t be a totally bad thing.

Got Block 101 row J with a platinum membership. The block is very close to the side of the stage and I had a similiar position for a U2 concert. The view of the band was great but couldn't see the big screen, not that I really needed it.

Does anyone know the direction of the seat numbering for the floor seats?
For section C1, say, is seat one at the B stage or over on the left?

Might make a difference in buying decision, although still seems like a steep
price...Thank you.

Re: Did Anyone get decent seats for O2

apparently the numbers on the floor run left to right,
and they seem to have just one 1 in each row, if you see what i mean:
c1 starts with 1 on the left as you face the stage, then runs up to whatever;
c3 then starts with "whatever + 1", not from 1 again.
