Tuesday 27 march tickets will go on sale for the public. Anyone has good tips for websites to buy tickets from? What's the official 'ticket seller' in Belgium for concerts, is there something like 'ticketservice.nl' in Belgium? Or should I wake up early tuesday morning and wait a few hours in front of a 'real' shop (and where should I go then?, a postoffice?)

Recent ticket sales for shows in Belgium were for Belgians only or people with a Belgian address. This is very annoying of course. I remember Springsteen in Brussels in 2005 and my ticket was really checked at the door! Lucky for me I was with a Belgian friend. No idea if they will keep up this stupid thing for the Stones!

It is indeed stupid policy in the internet era with fans flying in from all over the world. I guess you're right, this is typical Belgian. For Belgian tix I usually try www.goformusic.be but so far they haven't listed the Werchter show.

The train station nearest the site is called Leuven which is about a 25 minute rail journey from Brussels midi. The link below should help you get a ticket.

What time is good to get to the festival site?

I am catching the eurostar from London on the morning of the show and was just wondering which train to get? I would like to look around brussels, as I have never been, but I will have luggage with me. Is it best to stay in Leuven, as I think bv suggested, so it is easier to get back to after the show?

Can anyone reccomend a good cheap hotel in Leuven?

Leuven is a student city, there is a cheap formula 1 hotel there (15 euros a night i think)

I live in Leuven, and my parents live next to the werchter park so i'll tell you this:

-last time people were alrdy waiting from 15.00 onwards to try and get FOS tics, so i'd take an early one if you're planning on doing the same
-Better stay in Leuven as it will be hard to get transport from werchter to Leuven (normally they'll have buses from werchter to leuven after the show though), and once you get there i don't think there'll be a train left (so late) that goes to brussels
-ask around for the 'old market place' in the evening: it has a lot of pubs/bars/etc and a good athmosphere one of the best as leuven is basically a 'university students city'
-the jazz club 'de blauwe kater' is not bad either
