UK Dates ?

I suppose we'll soon know... but what dates do you think we'll get in the UK ?
Unlike our continental mates, we're not really owed any...but I'd hope for more than one Wembley show plus IOW.
Maybe they'll announce one Wembley show with provision for a second, depending on response ?

I'd say that would likely be it, if we get better than that I'll be gobsmacked quite frankly. But we can always hope ... for another Brixton, Shepherds Bush Empire, or Astoria I suppose !

would be delighted and suprised, if we got more than the 2
that have long been rumoured/speculated- IOW and Wembley.

Let's hope for a 'warm-up' show after the rehearsals at the end of May....

I can't see them doing two Wembley shows. I just can't see the demand after two twickenham shows last year. Maybe I'm wrong...

Perhaps the IOW exposure will create a big demand for tickets, and they may sell a load in the weeks after the IOW festival...?

I think we should get IOW, one Wembley, and a couple of arena shows in other cities, plus one club show. It probably won't happen but it's not a completely stupid thought, just a little optimistic...?!

I like optimistic. You never know.
I still think they might allow provision for sneaking an additional Wembley date in if they can perceive the demand... and if no further provincial stadium shows are on the cards.

no London date this time. they'll do the honourable thing and play elsewhere. England/Britain doesn't begin and end with @#$%& London

watch out for gigs in Brighton, Birmingham, Edinburgh and Grimsby

Grimsby ? Is there something you know about Grimsby that the rest of us (including Michael Cohl and the Rolling Stones) are unaware of ?

Other songs rumoured for the Grimsby show are:

Make no Mist-hake
Biggest mist-hake
Look what the catfish dragged in
Laugh, I nearly fried
She's so cod
Down in the Sole
I just wanna see his plaice
Cherry salmon oh baby
Sharks will cry
Sole Survivor
Eel on baby
Brand new carp
Blinded by rainbow trout
Baby hake it down

I heard they may play at the end of the pier at Scunthorpe on sea, I think it holds at least 250.

Forget Grimsby mate - they're coming to Scunthorpe for certain.

Usually they make the last 2-4 weeks of a tour into arena shows ending in UK, where the money is better and they can move around to many places like Manchester, Newcastle, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Wembley Arena etc. That way they can reduce cost of the final part of the tour, as the stadium crew is 300 people and the arena crew is less than 100. But since they had to reschedule stadium shows every tour now lately, may be they have given up on this great formula...

Dunno about 'usually' but the one time they did it in 2003, it was great - even though it only including dates in 2 provincial UK cities (Glasgow and Manchester) plus Dublin.

Was hoping that gap in August boded well for UK indoor shows..itd be a bit anti-climactic from a personal perspective if the 2006-07 European tours consisted of a combined total of 50 or so shows - all of them in stadiums. Still, I guess two tours are better than one.
