Thats the ideal scenario, in theory. I doubt they do so, however.

Start me Up
IORR
Miss You
Sympathty
ect.

Those are all classics you see...
what if this is someones first stones concert
and they didnt hear these favourites?
I for one, would be quite upset if it was my first stones concert
and they didnt play these.

I think the real question should be how many songs will be in the Summer '07 setlist?

As for dropping songs...Miss You, Start Me Up, YCAGWYW, Satisfaction, Tumblin Dice, and Honky Tonk Women

Add...Silver Train, Time Waits For No One, One Hit(to the body) alternate Midnight Rambler and CYHMK

Start Me Up - For the love of all that is holy. The stones will never play this piece of shite ever again.

Unfortunatly you are right cirrohosis. As much as I hate that song it does remain a fan favorite. I usually use that song to go take a leak. As opposed to the the Keith songs when everybody else goes.

at least there are shorter lines then!

alas, however, i wouldn't exactly consider SMU a "fan favourite." it's more of a "tourist favourite" - most of us real fans aren't exactly itching to hear it every time. i don't mind it, however - although i thought it was an outrage when they played it on the B stage . . .

If they eliminated Brown Sugar...99% of the audience would say that was the big disapointment.

The good thing when they open with "Start Me Up" or "IORR" is that it is over fast and you know its not gonna be in the conclusion.

The thing about "Sympathy For The Devil" is that although its a great song and I consider it one of their best written, it does not work for me live anymore. It has lost its edge. I'd rather hear it in the beginning of the show, like they slotted it during the 69 tour. Whenever I've heard it since the 89 tour it kind of says "shows over" and then the string of warhorses comes out to end the show. Plus it sounds like everyone is just playing solo over each other instead of weaving.

The only thing I'd like to change is if they did Sympathy For The Devil on acoustics on stools on the b-stage. Same treatment for Honky Tonk Women. Cool if played as Country Honk. It doesn't matter to me though. Both songs kick ass live.

Darryl Jones on a stool ? I can't picture that. I think we need Bill for such a performance.

Darryl wouldn't fit on a stool. That's true. He needs an aircraft carrier for that butt of his. grinning smiley

True! But that's not what I meant. I simply meant that he's not the relaxed kind of guy that fit on a stool.
Bill on the other hand...looks very comfortable having a puff, sitting and playing the bass.
