Bill Wymand told keith lives like a luxury gipsy. Now with the moustache he looks like a gipsy.

Rough quoting of Keith (from memory) Question asked around '78: do you like playing those bigger venues, or would you prefer te return to the smaller ones from the sixties?

Answer: Well, if we play a club, about 500 people will enjoy us that night, but if we play a stadium, we can make a 100 times that much people happy...

Just waking up to these images here in the UK, I think keith possibly had the tache for Pirates 3, and decided to keep it......any thoughts on that anyone?

More likely he grew it for a bet or just for a laugh.
I can imagine somebody saying to an unshaven Keith...bet you daren't leave the tache on when you go on TV tomorrow night ;^)

If Kieth is going to be there maybe he can fill in for Eddie Van Halen.

Wow, now he really does look like Johnny Depp's dad! I quite like that moustache. I see from some of the pictures that Ronnie's a bit emotional - and I understand she and Keith were lovers for a while. Right? Must be strange meeting someone you loved when you were in your eraly 20's when you're in your 60s.

haha he's a sharp lookin' bastid...i LOVE The stach...haaa...good for him...
great look...tons o 'class; he don't even have to try...cool long cuffs comin' out of the classy jacket...this isn't kind to say but i think they sprayed his bald spot with paint of something...seriously, no dig...i like him just fine without hairdye or coverup bandanas...but also do love his 'look'...anyway, to me he looks great and healthy and in focus and wonderful...
just one like Keith. he even played some ringing and pristine keithian riffs out amongst that embarassingly awful trainwreck of an atonal noise cacaphony that was the big finale. out from all that awful screaming and posing and godawful artless noise would come these clear riffs ringing like a bell, in their own distinct rhythm...ahhhhhh....

Keith looks great on these photos.
Makes me feel optimistic about the european tour 2007!
He looks fit, thinner than before, great hairdo
(maybe I should try something like that, I am
a baldhead too), and this funny moustache...
Indeed he does look a bit like Bob Dylan with big ears.

Keith is looking better than ever and in shape to tour.

unlikely as he filmed the scenes for that film 6 months ago and he didnt have any facial hair during the US tour that followed.

I think it makes him look like Boxcar Willie

Blimey - He looks more like a Cuban drugs runner than a lad from Dartford, Kent.
Just one thing - how can a man with with grey hair (coloured black) grow a black tache.......????
At least he hasn't gone for the hairy bogey look or a Charlie Chaplin or an Adolf.

You call that a mustache?? LMAO
In my book, the cat was the coolest cat on the planet from about '68 to '78.
Glad to hear the speech went well but JAYSUS, he's looking more and more strange.

I thought he looked great. And sounded like . . . Keith!

It was awesome seeing him perform at the end with R.E.M., one of my favorite bands of all time (along with the Stones, of course).

Absolutely..both of them had what is basically bum-fluff for adults.

he looks healthier than I've seen him for some time, but the 'tache just looks daft and more akin to a Dirty Sanchez

Of course, we know Keith IS daft. It's part of his charm.

If you watch all the footage on the jam at the end, it is amusing seeing Keith ttrying to figure out when he will have room to unleash a few licks.

Stephen Stills looked like he was determined to play as long as he possibly could. Keith, to me, looks like a man who is eager and ready to tour. Think we have to assume getting some rest after all the physical problems last year has served him well.

I was around Keith quite a bit in his drug "phase" and never thought he could survive. So I am HAPPY to see him very much alive with a sharp mind to boot.

What happened to the middle part of the moustache? His stache is like an unfinished song that still needs a bridge.

The photos of Keith look great.
Considerably sharper than the Internet video stream.
Which isn't all that surprising.
Keith looked and sounded quite relaxed.

That was all that I could watch of that show,
with the exception of Van Halen
-- which I watched just out of "morbid curiosity".

What if they moved the show to Cleveland?

so what is that guitar he's playing? i'm in one of the deprived regions that doesn't get the footage,
and i've only seen about five photos from the jam so far - all i can tell is that it's not one of the instruments
we're accustomed to seeing in Keith's fine hands.

he and mick would take the cab up to ronnie's and get it on? sounds like a 3-some...

i don't know much about ronnie or the ronette - i assume she's the one with the red lipstick that keith hugs in the pics? anyone got a pic of her when she was young?

>> sounds like a 3-some <<

well ... the Ronettes were of course a threesome, but
Mick was with Ronnie's sister Estelle while Keith was with Ronnie.
and there are some shots of the young Ronettes here: [spinner.aol.com]
