Yes, it's a broker speculating, but the question should be "where did they get the date of 25th August from" ? THEY'VE obviously heard something from someone somewhere, the question as usual is basically "is it even remotely truthful, or 100 percent speculative and therefore the usual bollocks you can expect from a broker" ? Remains to be seen if other brokers subsequently come up with the same date ... before the official announcement either quashes the rumour definitively, or else perhaps confirms it.

Well that ought to tell you how bloody reliable "topeventtickets" are (the first post on this thread) .... I mean if they can't tell the difference between Wembley ARENA and Wembley STADIUM ? Would YOU buy a ticket from 'em ?

i don't think it will be wembley stadium as the england football team are playing on the 22nd so it would leave only 3 days to set the place up for a concert.

Something interesting : there is an Ibis Hotel just few yards from Wembley Stadium ("Ibis Wembley").
On august month, the rates are 44£ per night.
But on august 24th & 25th rates are 105£ per night (+ 238 % !!).
And just for this little part of the month.
So ?

Hilton next door is sold out for that week-end. They are typically booked by companies selling concert packages i.e. tickets plus hotel room.

as they cant figure out whether its an 11,000 seater arena or a 90,000 seater stadium, I would say thats exactly what it is.

There is 11 other Ibis Hotels in London and the Ibis Wembley is the only one that doubles the rates on this august week end.

The ticket agency quotes their ticket prices in Categories 1, 2 and 4.

Wembley ARENA would not have a 4 tier price structure, so this concert I'd say is certain to be a possible STADIUM date.

Paul

the price structure is down to the band/promoter, not the venue - however, I think you're correct about the venue being more likely to be the stadium than the arena

A much more prestigious choice of venue for a tour finale, even if a less satisfying one from a purely musical perspective.

true young Gazza, but having been to concerts on and off for 30+ years I can't recall any concert there having 4 different price levels.

Cohl makes his own rules, I suppose. Theoretically, they could have two prices for floor seats, one for side tiers and another for tiered seats at the back.

At the last Stones Wembley show there in 2003, I got a £150 floor ticket in Block C, which I thought at least might put me near the b-stage. Turned out I was in the very last row of that block, with the first row of Block D (price £85) being situated one foot behind me, without even a gap. Suffice to say I wasnt too chuffed and made a point of sneaking up to the b-stage.
