I noticed that this week absolutely less happened on this board.
Not that much interesting pots as normaly and have a look at the first page of [www.iorr.org] : The oldest post is already from 14:30 or so, at normals Fridays, the oldest post on the first page this time is from two hours ago or so...
What happened?
Everyone has the flu, no internet...or what?

Can't see the Stones playing IOW for 2 reasons :-

1. The organisers could not afford to pay them bearing in mind ticket prices and the fees for all the other bands on the roster.
2. Very few Stones fans will be there and despite what many people think the Stones are in the main loyal to their fans with the exception of ticket pricing.

1. The spin offs from the exposure is worth it financially, plus as they wont be using their own stage, their overheads will be minimal.

The IOW Festival meant something 1968/9 1970 , now it is a minor event compared to T in the Park , Glastonbury etc . Don't think the Stones want to be involved in a minor event?

First of all. I thought it was a REQUIREMENT to be drunk on here. Espicially on the weekend. As far as the overall content of the board. Well from someone who spends way too much time on here,I thought things were actually picking up. Maybe not Stones wise. Nothing new there. But with the number of big named acts on tour or about to tour. There has been a lot to talk about,relatively speaking. Now back to the Rolling Stones of beers. HEINEKEN.

Yeah plenty of bands on tour this summer, but, christ, please Mr Rolling Stones, announce the tour dates so i can sort my summer partying out!

Oh, come on, staying in a tent with a beast and a bar room queen sounds like my idea of a dream weekend!

I had a tent with me for my 3 weeks UK travel to see the Stones in 1990. Ten shows. Planning for Abbey Wood camping but ending up in cheap 15 pounds hotel rooms wich cockroaches in the Paddington area. I do still have the tent, may be for IOW. Would need some John Smith Extra Smooth Best Bitter as company then...

I hope the IOW isn't the only UK show. I hate the festival seating. I love the rest of the world but I don't understand how everyone is in to General Admission. I like being able to show up right before showtime and walk to me seat in the front. With GA you have to be there so early to get to the front of the stage. I just don't understand the appeal. Maybe someone can enlighten me. Hopefully I'll make across the pond to see at least one show but I hope it's one with reserved seats. I made the two Twick shows last year along with 11 others in the States and that was great. All I ask is for one more. Don't want my Bigger Bang to end on unlucky 13.
