We saw each other Drake, walking at the back of theater, but you probably don't know me well enough to know who I was. I think we exchanged very brief hi's or nods, at least.

I agree with the other poster about how fantastic the musicainship can be when they put their minds to it. As I have posted elsewhere after Ronnie wowwed s with his work in All Down the Line, I even turned to Beast and asked "who is that guy the have up there pretending to be Ron Wood."No flubbed openings by KR,no forgotten lyrics by MJ. A dreamn come true, no distraction by spectacle. just the STONES at theier very best. Frightening, but true, they CAN BE the greatest rock and roll band in the world when they try.

I'm so sorry I didn't have a chance to get over to say hi at the afterparty. I get such a kick out of the fact that you follow all this celebrity stuff as well.

It'a such an important part of the overall Stones picture--that mixture of high class and lowdown...

Beacon 1 for me and my wife. Chatted with Little Queenie on the street, near the side entrance before the show.

Happy to see you made it in.

oh, cool that we met! say hello the next time you see me so i can remember you. a guy from the clinton foundation gave me 4 free tickets just before the stones came on stage. people swarmed me and friends, including beast, and i ran! it felt SO good to get into that warm theater - it was more like a party than a regular show. all sorts of people who i met outside welcomed me inside. what a beautiful buzz i'll never forget! my seats were better the 2nd night but i liked the first night the best.

I just decided I HAD to attend as there was no solid evidence of more small shows on this tour (a few rumours about LA) and I thought, I might NEVER see them in a small venue, so I forked over the funds big time and just went for it. Haven't regretted it at all. And a historic show at that.

My older brother Paul saw Keith get electrocuted in Sacramento where we grew up and he was at Altamont, but at least I got to something historic, too.

I was hoping to get a head count when i started this, but that doesnt seem to be working. However it is even better to relive it thru everyone's memories!

If it is my last stones show ever, what a way to go out.

I can't wait for the movie. I was filmed as i walked thru the doors, since i was in second on line when they started letting people in and also got filmed by Albert Maysles for about 30 seconds. If either of those moents stay off the cutting room floor, it wil be great to be able to be part of a Scorcese/Stones movie in some small way (though I guess all of us who were in the audience, are in fact "in" the movie.

Hi Paulywaul, yes we did meet. It was great to see some folks from this board where we all come to chat. What a great night that was. Hope the Stones give us a chance to see more shows in venues like the Beacon.

I saw them at the Beacon. But to every one who could not see them there... The set list was great and the "decoration with half of the floor reserved for cameras and selected fans was surealistic and unreal for a rock'n'roll show, but that was ok. It was a great show. But I have seen better shows in my own honest opinion. Wichita. Vienna. San Diego. All during the ABB tour. Plus more.

I feel the fans at theatre shows have so high expectations they are not happy unless the band are playing 20 new songs in a row plus they have half a dozen guest artists. It's just another show you know, sure a smaller an nicer place, but who are we to complain about rain, cold and ugly venues? I could take a show at a stadium any time. Bergen Norway in rain. Hockenheim during Licks so hot. Or Regina so cold cold cold. But it is the same band. The same great songs. I don't need an Oscar winning director and a bunch of cameras between me and my band to make a great evening. Sure the songs were so fantastic, but I don't like all these cameras, all the expectations, all the extra stuff that makes these shows so hard to get into for regular fans.

Don't get me wrong. I would not have missed being there. I am just trying to put things into perspective.

Hey better to have a few cameras in front of the band instead of a bunch of dead space and security guys in front of the stage that you get at a stadium, makes the band feel even more distant. I have nothing bad to say about the Beacon show. It was so nice to see the band on a nice simple stage playing songs you rarely get to hear. Rather than the Stones being small ants on this huge stage and having everything timed to the lights and effects. I didn't even notice all the "fake fans" or camera people, I was too focused on the band and how great they were. Their playing seems so much more focused and alive in these small venues.
