Yes, please, with all do respect No Erfurt or something like that. Barcelona or Rome will do just fine. Perfect.

They already started a strongly observed tour in this city!!

My guess is Southern Europe as a tour start late May, probably Spain. They deserve it, and the Stones deserve to have an enthusiastic crowd for the new start.

yes, you are right, they owe you more concerts. why not Valencia? I think it is the most popular and trendy spanish city now, Bob Dylan and Springsteen played there last year, the America's cup will be there.....really, I wonder why not Valencia ....too close to Barcelona maybe?

It was reported HERE somewhere a while ago. Anyway a tour start before June appears unlikely if ticket sales start as late as March! I think tour start will be in Germany as on every second tour since 1990.

Spain or Italy and then Poland and East Germany makes no sense logistically (look at the costs too).

As you may recall from the original European tour schedule last year, they were supposed to play in Barcelona-Madrid-BRUSSELS-Paris-BERGEN. Two days off between Madrid and Brussels, and two days off between Paris and Bergen. And as Gazza mentioned yesterday, there are multiple sets of the stage structure that travels around. To say that it makes no sense logistically, makes no sense.

If anyone wants to translate this into English, you're welcome!

The gist of what he writes is:

Dresden is the third biggest city in Eastern Germany, a market, which was totally neglected in the time from 1990 on. Just shows in Leipzig and Berlin but both cities are out of the question for 2007. Erfurt couldn't be the only show in that part of Germany, if they play there, THEN of course also Dresden, which gets international bit by bit more famous (also there are about five first-class-hotels).
If Chorzow or Erfurt shall be one of the first shows of the tour, it makes more sense that they'll start in Dresden as thousands of miles away in Spain.

######

Ok, IMO, he's right in some points.
If they play in Erfurt, this can't be the only show in Eastern Germany but I have no idea, where else they'll play. Maybe Dresden but surely not Leipzig, that's for sure - perhaps two or at the most three shows in little stadiums.
I personally can't believe that they'll kick off in Dresden, as I said earlier here, I suppose they'll start in Nürnberg.

Yes, because drunk Keith had an accident in his liberary ;-) The rest is well known. The tour was scheduled to start in Berlin three weeks earlier.

Danke vielmals!

You mean the city where a certain member of this board with a name similar to yours got tickets for the only theatre dates on the tour, so that he could then make a point of boycotting the show because he didnt agree with the presence at the gig of a certain former Commander-in-Chief, even though he was fully aware of it beforehand?

not all of it. Try investing some of it in a f***in passport and as evidenced by your Beacon boycott, some common sense.

Stones wanted too sell tickets and albums,so

announcements in Berlin (tourdates, perhaps new album, too) in early March, tour starts June in Spain, then Erfurt and IoW (with other stage) etc.

But it's all only rumours ... ;-)

Did anyone know where the Stones have been the last two months? Perhaps in Studio?

Tim Ries and Bernard Fowler (both together and with Darryl?) are doing some concerts in Hungary, Austria and Germany, Berlin and Potsdam, in the first days of march. so they will be in Berlin, too ...

Mick has been spotted at events in Asia (India, I think) and recently in the Czech Republic. Dont know about the others. I'd imagine some well deserved low-key family time out of the public eye.

I very much doubt they'd have been anywhere near a studio.

hmm, Czech Republic isn't far away from Hungary, Austria and Germany ...? Are there no studios in Praha? Perhaps they did a promo video-shooting with Rocco Scorsese ..?

But only questions and still rumours ...

he was there to attend a theatre premiere last week - with his chum Vaclav Havel:

and in India in late January for a wedding
[www.hindustantimes.com]

I was told last week that Mick doesnt want the tour to continue as late as September. Maybe the recent news about "The Long Play" film with Scorsese bearing fruition has something to do with that, I dont know.
