The Doors! No question, I have loved them as long as I have loved the Stones in fact (but not as fanatically though, hehe). I also have a special place in my heart for Queen.

Artist: Bob Dylan.

I'm not sure I have one "second favourite" band [the Stones are a religion...not a favourite band ;^)] but bands who've made some of the albums I believe to be great include The Clash, Led Zep and ..oh, too many to mention

Point is, for me , the Stones are up there on their own and most everybody else is on the step below.

The Beatles is second and David Bowie is right on the tail of them. Then comes Lou Reed (Also counting Velvet Underground). Next is Nirvana and Tom Waits.

Funny, I would have expected a lot more votes for the Who (definitely, my second). Discovering from a Stones origin: Nikki Sudden, Ry Cooder (early solo works), Marianne Faithfull, Jimmy Rip made at least one fantastic long player. Maybe it's time to split this thread and open up a Stones relatives thread .
Nobody out there for the Faces?!

That's it! I knew there was one I couldn't think of. The other answers were good, and correct based on how I phrased the question. What I meant to say was "an album being titled after a song that wasn't on there but came out later" AND the song had to have been recorded before the album came out.

Whew, that's confusing! But I think Houses Of The Holy and Waiting On The Sun are the only two, and The Doors did it first.

I am happy to see a few mentions of Ryan Adams; does anyone have his song "Keith Richards"? I have been looking for the single.
