Move Jones to making tea.

Oh dear, earlier we had COUSINLOU promoting that Taylor be brought back and Wood moved to bass. Now we have...

As I said on that thread if The Munch was good enough for Miles Davis (who didn't employ duffers) he's good enough for The Stones.

Mr.Jones has given us 14 years good service (a third of The Stones career)and is a talented artist.

He is no tea-boy.

Not so very nice of you to say such a thing ..but i guess that was your intention...we had this before and Wyman dont even want to come back so whats the point?

Re: Bring Back Wyman

Firstly, let me stress that I mean no disrespect to tea- makers. It is a very noble and necessary profession. It would be an honour for any of us, let alone a man so talented on the bass guitar as is the redoubtable Mr Jones, to make tea for Sir Michael Philip and his cohorts. And i'm sure Mr W makes a mean cuppa. You betcha.

The point was, (if there needs to be a point to everything here, there or anywhere) that this thread was as pointless as the 'bring back Taylor' thread.

So this was a a 'having a laugh at pointless threads' thread.

I'll make sure to spell that out (THAT) the next time I dare to post a pointless thread about pointless threads.

Yours meaningfully,

A rigidly rectangular roofless edyfice.

Fresh thread!

Actually, after further consideration, I should ofcourse have written

Bring Back Wyman .... as Tea-Maker. I doubt that Darryl would have clue as far as tea is concerned.

Silly me.

Sorry.

(ps tea is a graet tonic for hangovers)

pps this epilogue offers no pretext whatsoever for a "Bring Back Taylor ......
as bartender" thread.

Bill's retired himself from the group, and is doing his own thing - with dignity. I have oodles of respect for him.

It'd be a novel idea for a track, so for that matter, where's Mick Taylor?

How can you bring back someone that quit? It's not their choice, it's Wymans.

Bill does not want to come back he left on his own, Now if he wanted to come back should they let him I say yes but rather or not they would who knows but since he does not want to let it go it is not going to happen.

LOL, but what kind of tea? So many to choose from these days. I like blueberry, and darjeeling.

wyman's 'look' was so essential early on,, classic rolling stone personia,,, just by looking at him, there was no doubt he was a real musician... his face is as memorable as the others..

Miss U,

What a relief to find some sanity here and someone taking the tea seriously.

Keith and Bill would be strictly PG Tips, I think.

You can imagine that Mick is more of a Darjeeling or Earl Grey man.

Personally I like a blend of Earl Grey and Tetleys.

Charlie, not sure; a common man with a bit of class.

Ronnie, of course, won't touch the stuff (without ethanolic additive ofcourse).

I daren't mention Mick Taylor in February.

Brian is no longer her to share a cuppa with us .......... though possibly In Another Land he does.

Doesn't Wyman hate flying so useless for tours?

Yep..that plus the minor detail of him being 70 years of age, saying he doesnt care for the Stones' music anymore, leaving of his own free will a decade and a half ago and never having expressed any second thoughts about his departure.

Sounds like an ideal candidate, doesnt he? I realise the original post was a piss-take, but what are people suggesting - they force him to come back at gunpoint?

When Bill gets low on cash and women, he'll be back. Until then, Munch on.

After reading his recent interview, I do not think Mick and Keith would take him back. And, I do not think they would throw him any crackers when he is living on the streets (1 million a year to run his homes per year;and he has only two million left- a freight train is a coming!). Karma works in mysterious ways.
