The whole concert was filmed by the Maysles brothers, and there's supposed to be a clip from it in "Gimme Shelter". Anyone knows where in the film it is? Also, who else played at this festival in'69?

Accordind to the book, The Complete Recording Guide To The Rolling Stones, by James Karnbach and Carol Bernson, in the chapter "films", it states that there is a clip, but not where...
Could it be the people walking during the song GS? (Just a wild guess).

I have a print ad for the festival from Atlanta underground newspaper of the day: Thanksgiving weekend 1969 FRI- Iron Butterfly, Chambers Brothers, Pacific Gas and Electric, Sweetwater, Country JOe and the Fish, Johnny Winter. SAT: Jamis Joplin, Sly and the Family Stone, Spirit, the Byrds, Rotary Connection, Grand Funk Railroad, SUN: Jefferson Airplane, Steppenwolf, Byrds, Canned Heat and the Rolling Stones. ..Ticket price- $20 for all three days. I seem to recall this was one where some of the bands didnt make it, but cant be sure. Also, as mentioned, it was rather cold for that date and location.
