YouTube has a bunch of great Stones material circa 1972 from "Beat Club," a German TV show. These videos were made on May 18, 1972 at the Rialto Theater in Montreaux, Switzerland, when the Stones were rehearasing for their 1973 tour.

Also try searching "Beat Club, Germany" at YouTube -- you'll find all kinds of interesting stuff from this old TV show.
Rehearsals for the upcoming US-tour. The stones rehearsed about 45 different songs..boy..would I like to hear the rest..definitely at the top of their game..
>> no singalongs to backing tracks, but the real deal <<
but ... Loving Cup is playback - only the vocals are (partly) real. they're not even putting much effort into making it look otherwise. it's better than nothing, though - and the other numbers are wonderful to behold.

Much like a young Johnny Cash. It looks great but no way he could be playing that superb part from the song like that. I am surpriszed that Loving Cup has not been played live more often. It lends it self perfectly for live settings. Would work all electirc, or totally quieted down too.

yeah, Keith's penchant for playing acoustic without a strap is very fetching, isn't it :E but it's not something he *only* does in playback situations. see the VL tour SFMs - i guess he's supposed to stay seated for that, but he doesn't.
Now THAT is even cooler: when you're "supposed" to be sitting down, but the excitement of the song pulls you up and away. As long as you don't end up looking like Richie Havens in a sweat soaked dress in Woodtsock.
