Everyone makes remarks they wish they could retract. I find it interesting that everyone thinks he/she is insightful until their comments are made public in an article. Some yuppie dude in an upscale bar starts talking sh1t about how anyone not driving a hybrid should be put in jail. He may have just been talking to his friends, he may have been drunk, but it doesn't change the fact that he was talking out of his @ss.
I think good 'ol Pete just ran out of new ammo for the interviews. Instead of talking about his passion he talked about what he dislikes. He may have been honest, doesn't really matter, he should stick to his passions when giving interviews.

Okay, but I hope he doesn't choose to elaborate on his well-publicized "passion" for kiddie porn in his next interviews.

Its very unfortunate that so many wonderful musicians who are capable of creating such amazing works of art, simultaneously live some of the most sordid lives ever known to man.
I can forgive Pete for talking bollocks on the odd occasion... just like Keith sometimes does ;^). It's forgiveable because those two guys can talk more interestingly about music [and many other things] than most when in the right frame of mind.
