I was watching this last night and wanted to share it. What a great way to open a show! No Speak No Slave was one of the best songs I saw The Crowes play in Amsterdam last spring.

Here are some examples:

Rotterdam 1992:

Pinkpop Festival 1993:

Keulen 1992:

I saw them open with that in 1993 and thought it was outstanding.

I saw them at the Beacon Theater in '92--guess that is what they opened with---lol

I have no recollection--remember it was a great show and the there was a gigantic pot leaf on the stage.

The Black Crowes are simply an amazing live band, great intros, great jams, great performances.
In my top 3 of currently performing live bands.

I think I saw them that tour too, but can't remember for sure. I definitely remember seeing them do Slave in '95(?) or so, and it was AMAZING!!!

Great Great Rocking Song.

Wasn't looking too good, but I was feeling real well.

They suck. And Chris Robinson sucks. I hate them. I always have hated them. They're not original. They're the Monkees.

I saw them play sheppherds bush empire 3 nights in a row in march last year and it was a different set list for each night...they did not repeat one song !!...i cant see the stones being able to do that...they are great musicians and have written some classics and they obviously love the stones..if you get the chance you shoud go and see them

they don't just talk the talk, they walk the walk. and it has taken them from the top to near obscurity as gfar as mainstream is concerned.
meanwhile, in the realm of REAL music, they play fantastic gigs, will release an album this year (yeah, fingers crossed). Rich Robinson collaborates with Patti Smith, and Chris is rumored to produce Gary Louris & Mark Olsen.
