RECOMMENDATION SOUGHT: 1981/1982 Urban Steel Stuff

Okay, I just downloaded Angie from Napoli 1982. I'm BLOWN AWAY by the sound quality, mix and performance. (I have sound at work at my weekend job).

I've not heard any boot from 1981/82 for years.
I have one blank CD where I am.
My quesation is this, are there any boots on Urban's page which are better than this for me to download and enjoy on my drive home?

I have that boot ..and its good but what i dont like is the fact.you hear the tunes but not the crowd so you cant really get into it.

I see what you're saying, and it helps a lot with ones like Brussels. But if I'm going to choose, I'll take the band upfront over crowd noise. ie., I'll take Philidelphia Special over what's called "Ladies and Gentlemen".

Know what I mean?

Yes I see your point....but the trouble with me is that i like to close my eyes and just be there!!And that is foo me more difficult when the flow is broken!(i wanna hear complete shows the interacion between Jagger and the crowd must be included..but im glad for what i get of course!).

Point taken.

However, as I'm downloading this one thing's glaring at me - Jagger's voice! It's not the typical crappy one he used in 1981 found on Still Life and (worse) the film Let's Spend the Night Together - this is what it COULD have been!

Also, Chuck's on keys and he's good. There's 2 horns and the flangey effet isn't used on both guitars on every song. The arrangements are even different here. Is it common knowledge that the 1981 tour and the 1982 tour had such dramtic differences? 'Cause I had NO idea.

This boot, as far as performance and arrangment go, is what I've been LOOKING for for a long time! I rate it, performance and quality wise, up there with the other 4-5 star boots for sure!

GOD I wish there was some kind of critique or rating system in place!

Um... yes there was.
Why does Mick annouce Chuck on piano (Shattered in Europe, track 08, band intros)?

Yes 82 - which sounds better than 81!

I was only 9 years old then!
Man this is the 'Brussels' of 81/82!

Chuck Leavell was the piano player in 1982, instead of Ian MacLagan (as in 81).
Ernie Watts was exchanged too...for G. Barge.
Leavell played for Stones in Atlanta 1981, for the first time.
(BTW, the "Ladies And Gentlemen" posted at HotStuff, is not the real "Ladies And Gentlemen" soundtrack.)

Oh, I KNOW I KNOW I KNOW!!!!!!

One insignificant boo-boo means nothing. Especially coming from one whose done so much for all of us.

Yeah, I know, but I thought soundboard - good, packaging good - must be a decent MIXED board show at least. Boy, I was kind of disappointed with the sound, actually. I mean the sax is lost, no one's up front at all, and it's pitched up a semitone. I mean, why get that when there's Philly, kow what I mean?

Gothenburg 6/19/82 is a great recording from '82 as well.....it's not soundboard but I think there's only like 2 sb recordings from that tour anyhow.....somebody who knows this can correct me if I'm wrong......but I think Naples is probably the best soundboard from that tour.

Gothenburg 6/20 is just as good.
19/06 is one of the few boots I got on LP, it such a cool cover.
2 soundboards...yes...I'm still not sure if the Madrid recording counts as soundboard or audience.
