Cowboys choke tonight! That botched field goal attempt, which was basically the same as kicking a point after attempt will haunt Tony Romo the rest of his career. Not a huge fan of either Dallas or Seattle so I didn't care who won but I thought for sure Dallas had the game wrapped up.

seattle still in it; i'm good with that only because last year's game was a total bitchfest for the officials...they ruined the entire game with two flagrantly bad calls in the first half...i didn't even go back to the game after the Stones last year...

i have gone back to my recordings of the half time show tho....

whooeee...seahawks squeezed out a one pointer today somehow and still are contending...

i was living in tennessee last year this time, not seattle as i am now, so this isn't a local preference of long standing...i really feel they got robbed last year and would love to see 'em somehow stay in the running...
i know it's the impossible dream; they have a lousy record this year etc...
the longest of shots but what the hey...
so i'm goin' on record with the seahawks, as unlikely as everyone is sure that is...

Feel bad for Romo. He put the Cowboys in the playoffs. TO had some nice things to say about Romo though.
Seahawks (as much as I like the team) did not deserve this one. Hasselbeck could not put a drive together.
Pats are my team too, I just don't know if they can pull it out. And for some reason I am not so sure that the Bears will end up in finals.
Watch out for the Ravens. AFC is so much stronger. Ravens, Colts, Chargers

With the Cowboys out of the picture now, are the cheerleaders free for other duties?

my god, how did KC make it to the play offs? they looked like a pop warner team out there...let's see how indy's defense handles baltimore...does anyone turn down the sound and blast tunes with the game? sometimes the announcers drive me nuts, so play music...every once in a while it seems to snyc with what's going on...undercover, babylon, and bigger bang are great with football games...
cart before the horse here, the pats vs. the chargers will be the best play off game of this season, whoever wins this will win the superbowl...

Not a bad idea jeff. Rocking out definately sounds better than the annoncers.
I think the Indy-Balt. game next week will be the best one yet. I know there are a lot of Patriots fans on here, but right now the Jets are giving them a hell of a game. But in the end, I still think it will be SD.

Thanks Edith Grove for sticking with us here in Louisiana. We are hoping our Saints will go an win the Superbowl. We really went through a lot down south here. Some people just don't understand us "Cajuns".... Our New Orleans Saints are great. Hurricane Katrina was a real Castrophy for New Orleans here but we are back and getting better every day. Sorry sweetcharmed life......
I pick Chicago over San Diego ..... sorry....

No need to be sorry Dude. You like who you like. It would be a really great story to see the Saints win or play in the Super Bowl. As far the Bears go, well considering my track record, my picks haven't done so well, so it is entirely possible they could be there.

As for the rest of the board. I'm on to you people. No more making predictions AFTER the game is over. LOL

My Fearless Superbowl Prediction - No nipples!

And ..... Michael Vick will continue to watch Super Bowls from his house. In other words, he'll never play in one. The Falcons continue their streak of stupidity, bad luck, and losing.

Cheer up Elmo. I heard the Falcons just signed Bobby Petrino to be thier coach. I hope he has better luck than Nick Saban did in the pros. But I agree with you about Vick. He can't throw for shit.

P.S. Are ya ready to see the Gators go down HARD?

Colts - Ravens
Eagles - Bears
Saints - Seattle
Chargers - Patriots

It's the two AFC games that look intersting because each of the 4 teams could win it all. And in NFC it almost doesn't matter; it SHOULD be the Bears and Seattle. I only say Seahawks because I just can not imagine the Saints this far into it. I would love to see it tough.

Elmo, Man do I know your sentiments about Vick, Falcons et al. All year I have been waiting for them to a)implode because the invariably will and b) for Mora to axe himself c) Vick to fall apart and blaming it on too much throwing or not enoigh throwing; whatever fits the occasion that day. No matter how Mora tried to make it look he was scared of Vick. Much like Jordan w/Bulls IMO Vick was running the Falcons. Can not have that NFL. They need someone strong like Parcells eg. Enough WITH THE CONTROVERSIAL PSEUDO-BRILLIANT experiments (sorry for caps) nd get a real coach.

My REAL Team lost! The Giants lost to Philly by a field goal with no time left on game clock! It pissed me off! I still do love the Patriots though, being from Massachusetts! I think Brady can deliver yet another Super Bowl championship! That guy is grace under fire! He has nerves of steel, and a great arm, and that doesn't hurt! I hate Dallas, that lose made my weekend! It tok the sting away from my Giants losing! Tony Romo is not as great as they think in Dallas.

Patriots vs Eagles = Momentum and Experience. Birds win in Miami

Re: My Fearless Superbowl Prediction

The Patriots will win the Superbowl over the Eagles by a score of 32-17.

Ohio State is probably the most overrated #1, undefeated team, in the history of college football. They play in a weak (this year) conference that only has 3 teams in the top 25 of the AP poll and they only played one of them. Big deal, they played Texas, who won probably 2 or 3 times out of pure luck, out of conference. Florida played FSU out of conference (OK – that’s a weak argument this season!)

Florida's defense will confuse Heisman Trophy winner Troy Smith and Florida will dominate the game on offense. Final score: 36-23, Florida.

p.s. While I'm hopeful and somewhat optimistic for a victory by the Gators, the preceding is mostly chest thumping. I'm extremely frightened that the outcome of this game will be similar to the whipping that Nebraska put on Florida in 1996.

p.s.s. The Superbowl prediction wasn't chest thumping. The Patriots are the best team in the league.

SD has the best RB on the planet, but he won't be able to overcome the reality of Marty Schottenheimer's (sp?) impact on the game.

One thing's for sure: the _real_ Super Bowl is this Sunday between New England and San Diego.

Whichever team wins that game will take the whole enchilada. The rest of the contenders are really nothing more than pretenders.
